Chapter 12 - Chapter 02: Rabbit's Inn

"WHAT THE HECK, DO YOU MEAN RE-STRUCTURING!?" I shouted.

"SHHH!! Let's not make more of a scene on the road. Let's talk in some place where there are no people, guys." Jake said

We returned to town and checked into an inn near the hunting grounds' gate.

'Rabbit's inn.'

We made our way into the inn. I didn't say anything the whole way here, Alex was smiling, and Jake was serious.

"WOW~ It's a real inn." Alex said happily.

"Don't try to attract much attention." I said but I wondered if he even heard me.

Inside the inn, there were some adventurers and townfolk drinking. The first floor of the inn is a restaurant, and the upper floors are for guests.

Some individuals were staring at us, or more specifically, our clothing.

'These clothes are attracting much attention.' I thought.

Ignoring their gazes, we walked towards the receptionist there.

"Can we get a room for three?" Alex said.

Behind the desk is a lovely young lady with an innocent expression. She has red hair and eyes, and her hair is shoulder length with blunt bangs. She was dressed in a white and green dress.

"Make it for four, maybe." Alex said as he smiled towards the receptionist and blinked with one eye.

'He's acting stupid again.... I know it!'

"Very well, sir." The receptionist said as she smiled. She looked as if she was feeling a little uncomfortable.

"Then, let's head in~." Alex said as he rubbed his upper lips on the lower one and looked at the receptionist.

"What did you say, sir?" She said, still smiling. She was grossed out at this point and looked like she wanted to punch Alex.

At this point of the conversation, Jake intervened and pushed aside Alex.

"Don't listen to him! Actually, give a room for three, how much would that be?" Jake said and somehow controlled the situation.

"That will be seven silver coins, sir." She said.

"THIS IS A NEW WORLD! At least let me get together with someone." Alex shouted and looked at us with anger.

"HEY, SHUT UP!" I said. Everybody in the inn who was drinking earlier started to glare at us.

'Alex wouldn't even try something like this if this was the old world.' I thought as I put a hand on Alex's mouth but it was too late.

Suddenly, somebody put a hand on Alex's shoulder and pulled him behind.

"So, what were you saying?" A person who was sitting and drinking before had stood up.

He was a tall, balding man in his forties who was very muscular. On his face, he has a vertical scar. He was carrying a large sword and wearing a metal chest plate and metal boots.

"Why do you care? I ain't talking to you. I am talking to that miss there." Alex said as he looked at the receptionist again with lust. The person looked like as if a vein had popped on his head. He looked angry.

Everybody in the inn now looked as if they would kill us.

"JAVIER, TEACH THESE KIDS A LESSON! THEY AIN'T SH*T!"

"I HAVE SEEN YOU WEIRD BASTARDS! YOU WERE EVEN FIGHTING NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF THE MUTATED RABBIT HUNTING GROUNDS."

"What's up with their clothes? YOU ARE NOBLES OR WHAT!?"

The people in the inn started to shout.

"I am sorry for my friend's actions. Please leave him." Jake said but the man had other plans for Alex.

He grabbed Alex by the collar and threw him on a table. The table broke in two pieces. I could guess how much that would have hurt.

"PLEASE DON'T FIGHT!" The receptionist shouted but no one paid heed to it.

I tried to go and help Alex but Jake stopped me.

"Don't put fuel in this fight. I have appraised that man's status and he is stronger than us." Jake said.

I nodded and then went to help Jake. I helped him stand up and everybody in the inn was laughing at us.

"HAHAHAHAHA!! KID IF I EVER SEE YOU NEAR HER AGAIN!! I'LL BREAK ONE OF YOUR BONES!!" He shouted.

"NOW, YOU HAV-" I put a hand on Alex's mouth.

'SHUT YOUR MOUTH. DO YOU WANT ANOTHER ISEKAI!?' I whispered in his ear with anger.

Jake had already paid the money to the receptionist and helped Alex along with me to go our room.

Alex could hear the laughter of that person as we went up the stairs.
