Cecilia's POV
"David said he saw Karl." I raised my phone, and Sophia lifted her face from hers, saying, "They're coming, but let's eat first."
I hesitated for a moment. "Karl is coming?"
Sophia smiled and said, "What's with that expression? You're here, so of course he's coming."
I chuckled nervously, took out my phone, and realized Karl had sent me several messages, none of which I had seen. After a brief pause, I put my phone back in my pocket.
Suddenly, the table received two light taps, and I looked up to find a guy's face staring at me.
"Cecilia?" I frowned as soon as I recognized the person, remaining silent for a while.
"It's really you, Cecilia. I've been watching you for a while now, and I knew I couldn't be wrong."
Everyone at the table turned to look, and there stood a scruffy guy with a cigarette in his mouth and a betel nut chew. His eyebrow was missing a chunk, and he looked like a troublemaker.
