Chapter 11 - Those beautiful purple eyes part 4

The Celestia kingdom endured long enough, but could not escape its end.

Even if I had done something abominable with my daughter, there would not be enough time and blood to forge weapons with Holy Corrosion.

From that moment on I devised one last plan for my country, more specifically for the survivors who migrated in time:

A spell matrix that only I could activate.

--

The citizens were elated when they were summoned to the great square in front of the royal castle. The queen had promised them that she had a solution to the creatures that were tormenting them, but she needed their help.

They arrived with high hopes, as they were only asked to bring a sheet to participate in the queen's great event. Everyone, from the noblest, with sheets decorated with fine silks and even gold and jewels, to the humblest, with sheets hand-stitched with a mother's love and care, gathered in the square.

Each family sat together, comfortably with their children, and all they had to do was remain calm and wait for the queen to begin her plan to save their lives.

There was only one rule: if anyone fell asleep, they were not to be disturbed, for that might interfere with the queen's plans.

--

"It is time, Your Majesty," said a young servant girl, indicating that it was time to begin the spell.

"Good," I replied, getting up from the throne and walking to the square with a beautiful crystal harp in my hands.

There were many people, from children to the elderly, all hoping that I had a solution. Their faith was not exaggerated, for not for nothing was Celestia the last nation to be invaded by these creatures my daughter christened "Zergs".

A rather interesting name, worthy of the imagination of one of the last survivors of the golden generation. Though I had heard other curious names, such as "Outlander" or "Aliens," I thought the name my daughter gave them was more appropriate, as it gave them an identity of their own.

"Citizens, I have gathered you here because I need your help. The Goddess Celestia has promised me, her descendant, that she will give us a solution, but we need the power of your families."

And so I began a very moving speech. I must admit that I am a very talented actor, as many of my citizens shed tears of happiness.

After finishing the speech, I sat down in front of them and began to play the harp.

𝄞 ♪ ♬ ♩

I began with a sad rhythm ....

This sound silenced the atmosphere.

Many began to remember their fallen family and friends, some with guilt, some with regret, some with hatred.

As my song progressed, the rhythm became calmer and filled the atmosphere.

The rhythm comforted some, who immediately shed tears, and as expected, some children began to fall asleep.

"Shh, my boy, the queen said it's okay if you go to sleep," said a young mother as she held her only child.

His father was nowhere to be seen.....

The child nodded and settled as much as possible on his mother's breast, closing his tender, innocent eyes with a happy smile.

The child finally fell asleep, and like many other children present, who closed their eyes with a happy smile, departed to the sweet world of dreams.

But this time, never to return...

--

As I played the harp, I saw all of my citizens leave for the world of dreams, their energies gathering to form a dome of light that surrounded the city.

First it was the children, then the adults, then the wizards and knights, until finally even those as strong as the shadows that accompanied me succumbed and closed their eyes.

I continued to play the harp in a loop as I walked the streets of the city, from the slums to the wealthiest and most opulent street.

By the time I finished my tour, it was getting dark, and from a distance I could see those creatures, the zergs, assessing the situation, unsure of what the dome covering the city was.

I didn't care, and this time I made my way to the Royal Palace.

As I made my way through, particles of my body fell from me, slowly draining my strength, mana, and aura.

This was the spell I had created, Eternal Solace, which would ensure that my citizens would not suffer in their final moments, filling them with comfort and happiness while their life energies served as fuel for an impenetrable barrier that I calculated would last at least 100 years.

As I made my way to the castle and lost my strength, I felt nothing, well, maybe pity for my daughter for not being able to feel the joys this world had to offer, but nothing else.

I felt empty.

I sat on the throne and waited for my turn to close my eyes.

Bam!

There was a bang, and as my eyes darted to the spot, the first thing I saw were those beautiful purple eyes with tears streaming from them.

It was my daughter.

If I remember correctly, I left her in charge of logistics, and I thought I would leave her there with her companions because ....

I didn't want to see her close her eyes.

While I was investigating why she was still awake, she approached me.

Without saying a word, she sat on my lap and showed me her hand.

It was bleeding.

I knew immediately how she was avoiding falling asleep.

"Mother, hold me," she said, sobbing.

I said nothing and granted her request.

Her embrace was strong, but as the minutes passed, her strength gradually diminished.

Just as she was about to leave with the others, she said something that shocked me.

"Mother, did you know that I have memories of my former life?" she said to me as her beautiful eyes struggled to stay open.

"But I'm so glad you're my mother," she said slowly as she closed her eyes and finally entered this world.

Her last words filled my mind with many possibilities, from the extremely different behavior of those who were part of the Golden Generation to their horrible fanaticism with the hero .....

(It couldn't be...)

Just when my brain came to a conclusion, a very strong sleepiness overcame me.

And finally I closed my eyes and accompanied my daughter into that world.

Or so I thought.

My strange second life...

"Hello sister, mother," I made an absurd face as I looked at the young woman who said that to me.

A beautiful young woman with pale skin, a stunningly beautiful face, red eyes and blonde hair.

The young woman was wearing a beautiful black dress with some parts of red, it also had many beautiful ornaments that accentuated her final appearance.

But both her face and her body, and especially, those little fangs, reminded me terribly of a person, if you can call it that.

She even carried a black umbrella to protect her from the sun.

She reminds me of....

"Wait, wait, are you sure you're my sister?" said my daughter, Lumine, her purple eyes shining with puzzlement.

(I wonder that too, but I doubt she's lying).

"Lumine, her unique magic allows you to identify her family, even if she doesn't know them," I said, knowing full well that her race could see blood like no other.

"Mother, but it's... strange, hey, my father's name is Kylo Stromcrest, are you sure he's your father too?"

My daughter couldn't seem to accept this fact, even I had a part that didn't accept this either, but the two younger girls behind this strange young woman confirmed this to me.

"Hmmmm, I have no idea of his real name, but my father was called... Spectre," the young girl said with a bit of a confused face as well.

It seems Kylo used a pseudonym when he met these girls' mothers, but what if that's the case, when was that?, I don't remember, I especially don't remember him meeting that person.

As I pondered what the hell those women had done to bring about such an abrupt change in this life, out of the corner of my eye I could see my daughter, she was....

Trembling, no, she was hyperventilating?

(Does she know about Kylo's identity, Spectre?)

But I didn't have time to think anymore, because my daughter was having a severe panic attack.

"Lumine?", I called out to her as I watched her.

Her eyes were wide open as if she had watched a demon, a very powerful one at that.

She even lost the strength in her body and started convulsing.

"Is she all right? We have medicine on the boat in case you need it," said the blonde-haired young woman with a really worried expression.

"Haaaaaaaa," I sighed, as the priests examined my daughter.

How did this happen, why did this life change so much, I pondered as I examined what I did from the moment I woke up that morning.
