The Festival of Light was the most eagerly awaited and celebrated occasion not just in Emberfall City, but throughout the entire Night Empire and even beyond. So hearing this news really caught William off guard.
"Really?" he asked, his voice filled with astonishment. Isabella responded by nodding her head, and then she pulled a chair next to his bed so that they could talk more comfortably.
"The festival hasn't been cancelled altogether," she clarified. "Instead, after the terrible events of last night, it has been delayed. It will now take place in seven days."
