Chapter 11 - Coop of Cluckthorn (1)

In the paradise of Tempestphant, while normal hunters would walk timidly and cautiously in the dungeon, fearing being spotted by the monsters first, Lu Chen walked casually.

No... He was on top of a Tempestphant, sitting on its back. A horde of Tempestphant marched forward like soldiers escorting their king.

"Search! Search for the treasures!" ordered Lu Chen as he lay in the back, yawning happily. As the softness of the Tempestphant's fur pleased his neck, he fell asleep.

If other hunters saw this scene, they would kill themselves! They had to risk their lives inside the dungeon, and this guy is sleeping on the back of a monster!

After an unknown amount of time, his eyes slowly opened. Stretching his arms, he sat up.

In front of him was a horde of Tempestphant, all looking at him. Any normal hunter seeing this would be terrified, maybe screaming and running the moment they saw this, but Lu Chen smiled.

"Did you find it?"

As if understanding what Lu Chen said, the Tempestphant nodded.

"Lead the way."

The Tempestphant walked, and Lu Chen followed. Precisely, the Tempestphant who was carrying Lu Chen followed.

Due to the constraints of time previously, he hadn't explored any of the floors completely.

So the scenery that came into view surprised him.

Green moss spread on the walls, large bushes, small trees, and various other greenery were there.

The greenery was only limited to about a 1 km area.

On one of the bushes, a Tempestphant entered and took out a small chest box.

The wooden chest box opened to reveal a small wristband. It looked like a rubber band, with an engraving of a phoenix.

The Tempestphant handed it to Lu Chen.

[Phoenix Band: +10 defense when worn.]

"Nice stuff!" As he wore it, an invisible barrier surrounded his body. The barrier stuck to his skin, and it felt like another layer of clothes. It didn't feel uncomfortable.

"So now I am at the level of at least D rank."

If he were to fight with Tempestphant now, he could easily carry them and throw them at each other. A single punch could kill them.

"Now the chest box of the first floor is found. Now it's time for the second floor." The Tempestphant took him to the second floor, and once again, the soldiers of the second floor searched for treasure while he explored the floor as if he were on a picnic.

The second floor was different from the first floor.

There was a blue-colored pond, a small river flowing with blue water, and blue fruits emerging from the ground.

After an hour or so, the blue Tempestphant returned to him, pointing in a specific direction.

This time, they didn't lead him to the chest box; instead, they carried the chest box to him. It was a wooden chest box with some metallic liquid coated on it, making it a bit more beautiful.

Inside this box was a big blue gem, the size of a human head.

[Blue Gem of Enchantment: When this gem is equipped with weapons, it provides a bonus of +10 damage, +10 speed, and +10 durability.]

"Can I equip this on my dagger?" He took out his dagger. He placed the dagger on the gem, as the gem was bigger than the dagger.

As the dagger laid on the gem, the gem devoured it.

A blue light flashed, and the unique dagger had blue patterns, a small blue gem on the handle, and as he swung it, a trail of blue light followed.

Astonishing as it was, Lu Chen couldn't hide his joy. It was lighter than before, it moved smoothly and fast, and looked cooler than before.

Playing with the dagger in his hands, the Tempestphant reached the third floor. The third floor had various large rocks and a brown rocky ground.

The comrades on this floor didn't take more than ten minutes to find the treasure chest.

Seeing them carrying the box, Lu Chen thought, "Life can't get easier than this."

On this chest box was a bow.

[Bow of Magicians: Energy arrows are released from this bow. The more mana you pour, the bigger and sharper the arrows will be.]

Keeping it in his inventory, he reached the fourth floor.

The fourth floor was a wasteland with high winds blowing from time to time, a hard rocky surface, and huge rocky peaks.

It took nearly two hours for the Tempestphant to find the chest box on this floor.

It was a full metal box. Inside it was a beautiful stone.

[Mana Stone: A good conductor of mana.]

"Mana stone!" This stone was at least the size of a fist. "This will sell for ten thousand credits or more!"

The final floor, the fifth floor. On this floor, a single Tempestphant knelt or did something similar in front of Lu Chen.

It took out a golden box from the walls, hidden deeply. If he had to find this box by himself, it may take days.

A glistening book... no, it wasn't a book but a single piece of paper emitting a golden light. It was so thin yet looked so divine.

As he touched the paper, he felt a soothing sensation.

[Healing Breeze: A gentle and soothing breeze escapes your palm, promoting healing and rejuvenation.]

A healing skill. Not bad!

As the paper touched his forehead, the paper dissolved into strings of numbers and words, and was absorbed by his body.

"Now, it's time to go to another dungeon."

Exiting the dungeon with a smile, he took a cab to the Coop of Cluckthorn.

It was similar to the paradise in Tempestphant: a horde of hunters, stalls, and a rotating energy bug called a portal.

The difference was that the party was slightly bigger, and many hunters were either recruiting members for their party or searching for a suitable party.

Amidst the shouting and bustling, he entered the dungeon as there was no queue.

As he entered the dungeon, the smell of chickens, the smell that is mostly around chickens, wafted into his nose.

It was a place filled with grass, trees, and pebbles. A soothing breeze flowed.

Inside the Coop of Cluckthorn, Lu Chen moved on.
