"Zach," Zelda began, but he raised his hand. "Don't bother explaining; I understand perfectly."
"Oh? You understand what? That I should force myself to be with you? I can't force my feelings, and no matter how you twist your words, it's still the truth that I'm already his wife," Zelda said, revealing the magic diagram on her fourth finger.
"Let's go," she said to Erika and walked away, leaving Zach grinding his teeth as he stared at her retreating figure, infinitely more captivating than the woman beside him.
The fact that he went from perfect to good left a bitter taste in his mouth. Clearly, Zelda felt sorry for him, but he was overwhelmed with bitter feelings and ended up driving her away.
"Forget her. She's just a woman abandoned by her man," her sister snickered, and they both departed.
Clutching Erika's arm, Zelda turned to her, "Will he come?"
