"I'm the boy you saved from those men earlier today," James said, prompting a scoff from Lia.
Even Cristian raised his brows. The boy he met earlier appeared to be in his mid-teens, wearing a short sleeveless leather top that revealed his markings. However, the man before him was clearly in his thirties and dressed more formally.
"He's telling the truth. That's just a kid in a man's body," Catalina said, though James felt her tone was overly nonchalant considering their prior interaction.
"What's your name?" Cristian inquired.
"I'm James, son of Eldrich, a grand elder of the Soul race," he replied, bowing slightly as a gesture of respect.
"So, what do you have to tell us?"
"An army is gathering just beyond those mountains, and they'll storm everything in the ice plains and spread to other parts once we're all dead."
"You could have approached the major guilds. We can only do so much," Cristian remarked, and James chuckled.
