A few minutes after Drogheda and Tevaga left, a silhouette burst out of the bushes, speeding past the gate and into the castle at a stunning pace.
Anna, who checked on Aurora, felt a gust of wind and a familiar presence. "What happened?"
His deep voice echoed. "I don't know how to explain it." Tevaga quickly closed her mouth, as those words just made his solemn expression turn worse.
"An eagle attacked her. Well, we thought it wanted to attack her, but it wasn't." Anna held Cristian's wrist before he could leave the room.
"I can track it."
"But it wasn't trying to attack Aurora; I think it got attracted to her," Anna said, gaining Cristian's Tevaga and Drogheda's undivided attention.
"I can feel vitality surging out of her. I don't think anyone is supposed to possess this kind of energy; it's like…"
"Life," Cristian said.
