Pressing his palms against the wooden door, Cristian made his decision. Whatever Alessia called him for, can wait for him to check on Anna first.
At first, he struggled because he had no view of the room, so he used an alternative, which was willing to be on the other side of the door.
In the next moment, he found himself in her room, and Anna stood by the window, sobbing softly.
"Anna, what is it?" He asked while he walked close to her.
"I'm engaged, Cristian," she said in a detached tone, unlike the Anna he knew.
"So? We're friends, aren't we?" He said it with an arched brow.
"BUT I WANT TO BE MORE THAN YOUR FRIEND!" Anna yelled, glaring at Cristian, who didn't look a bit bothered.
Instead, his lips curled up while his eyes twinkled. "Then what do you want to be? You said it yourself; we're friends."
