Leaving the others on the ground floor, Cristian and Anna walked into a room where he gently laid Nebula on the wooden bed dressed with a thick linen bedsheet.
As Anna laid her hands on Nebula, her palms glowed, and Nebula's wounds healed swiftly. Once she was done, Anna got to her feet, turned to the tall man behind her, and exhaled.
"She'll be fine," she said, her head lowered as she couldn't muster the courage to stare into his eyes.
"Hey," Cristian said while reaching out to her, only for Anna to subconsciously take a step back.
Each step he took, she would take one back, keeping the distance between them until her back touched the wall.
Cristian approached her and lifted her chin, causing their eyes to meet. He could see fear stemming from the part of him she saw earlier today, and it made him sigh.
"I was never going to harm you," he said, watching her nod fervently. Her fear only seemed to increase when he tried to explain.
