Synopsis
I have a dream of flying across the skies on a jet, looking at the setting sun. I longed to fly, like a free bird. But my dream was crushed before I ever had a chance to plan it. As those I cared about vanished. People I'd begun to care about died, leaving me unable to do anything. I have to be strong. Stronger than these monsters. In his right hand, he's wearing a mettalic bracelet. "With this system," Shin reasoned, "it's not impossible." Shin yelled, "I'll show you that a dream should not be hindered!" A massive crater formed. All monsters in the area have been annihilated. Meanwhile, in the distance, a faint shadow can be seen. "You always surprised me, Shin," it said silently. And continued saying, "I continue to pave the way for you in the shadow, my friend." (Note: The narrative is a LitRPG that takes place in the modern world.)

Chapter 1 - Prologue

A young man jumps from the highest building in the area.

Courage?

No. It has nothing to do with that.

Suicide? Is this all you can think about? Think wider...

The young man continues to fall. Clenching his right arm forward.

"I see you now! Dive Punch!" exclaimed the young man, a mechanical bracelet glowing on his right hand. Something abnormal occurs on it in a variety of ways. Magic is the only word that comes close to describing it.

As the young man gets closer to the ground, he collides with something invisible. It causes such large ripples that nearby window glass in the surrounding vicinity shatter.

At the same moment, various cracks form in the air.

Gradually, a gigantic beast, over 20 meters tall, appears.

Its four legs began to wobble and eventually collapsed.

"To think that a Lvl.29 monster can do this kind of damage; can we really survive this?" lamented the young man, despite defeating the monster himself.

Perhaps because the gap in level makes him feel insecure. After all, his level is substantially higher than that of the monster he had just defeated. But he barely makes it out alive.

It can't be help. No one is prepared for a calamity of this magnitude.

After all, he was only a student six months ago. A young man with a desire to become a pilot. A dream that can no longer come true.

The young man surveys his surroundings. A real depiction of the apocalypse in front of him. Reminding him that the future is not longer certain.

He took a candy from his breast pocket. And he just stands there staring at it.

"This is now my reality. I need to be stronger. A city is destroyed by a single monster, and only I survived in the end. If I wanted to protect something, I need to be powerful" he mumbled in the air, as if declaring someone a promise.

A teardrop drips down to the candy.

He is preparing to deliver this candy to an orphan kid. Only an hour ago, it was still possible to give it to the kid. But now…. it's impossible.

Shin is the name of the young man. Shin Wane. Remember him. He might save you one day.

"TING!"

A holographic notification appeared in front of Shin, which no one could see.

[The analysis of the unrecognized skill framework has been completed; how would you like to name the new skill?]

"Name it, 'Invisibility Cloak'."

[Invisibility Cloak: Using large amounts of mana to cover a specific object, rendering it invisible.

SP Cost: 1000 per minute]

[Is this correct?]

Shin pressed the holographic button that labeled, "Yes."

Ting!

[You made a significant contribution to the Preset System, earning you 100 contribution points.]

[Do you want the 'Invincibility Cloak' skill added to your Preset Skill?]

"Yes."

'With this tricky skill, maybe I can survive a little longer,' he thought, still depressed.

He looked down at his right arm, which was securely wrapped in a mettalic bracelet.

'Perhaps without the system, humanity would have perished by now,' Shin thought.

This thought of him about the system are likely to be well received by the government. Because numerous protesters were against Project Preset. Almost causing the project to fall behind schedule. You can't blame them; after all, no one expected an identification bracelet to be used to slay monsters.

It is absurd.

Meanwhile, an injured man emerges from the shadows, gasping for air and covered in blood.

"Ghukk! Ghuuhk!" the man let out, his palm smeared in black blood after a violent cough. Regardless, the man has a huge grin on his face.

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" he laughed out maniacally, still gasping for air. He can't help himself; after all, he went through an incident where he had no chance of surviving.

"Fuhh! You've always surprised me Shin," the man murmured quietly.

"I thought I was a goner, that's definitely out of our league; what's going on? something strange is going on; I need to look into this, damn government."

He returned to the shadow after taking a big breath. Only a puddle of blood on the ground remains of his location; the man vanished as if he was never there in the first place, assuming you ignore the blood.
