I turned to Svarien who had looked at the human shaped ash stain on the ground. "Nothing much happened while you were gone. Welcome back."
Ash came up beside me. "I thought you said that you wanted to protect the Earth, that you wanted me to do the same?! You know my name, don't you? I am the god who protects."
"I know Ash, and I am sorry that I didn't tell you, but now you know. Plus it's not like Alice was drilling down to the core of the Earth or trying to suck it into a black hole with a winnower!"
Her face softened. "Fine. I forgive you. Just please come and see me again soon. I can tell that you are in the middle of something."
She turned around without another word and stepped through her portal.
I moved over to my extra pair of armor, and I handed it over to Alice who was still wearing cloth armor. "I have a gift for you."
She widened her eyes. "Holy shit, thank you so much!"
