I stood behind Death on one of his hills overlooking the perpetual battles that were fought in his soulscape. He was looking at them all fighting. "Do you know why I made my soulscape like this?"
"Why?"
"I enjoy watching the little battles. It entertains me. I enjoy finding people whose determination does not fade, even after hundreds of deaths."
He turned his face from the battle and locked his glowing red eyes on my own. "Because most humans are not made for godhood. Most humans have a frail mind and they have become their own worst enemies. Here in my soulscape the attacker provides an opportunity to the attacked to improve his skills. The attacked can attempt to become the best, or he can give up. Do you know what I do to the ones who give up?"
"What?"
"I make them into soul slaves and I force them into labor evermore. But for those who have a strong mind, I remake their bodies and I make them my soldiers."
