My eyes flicked open to the dim light that morning brings. I rose from my bed that still smelled of sweat and other things. I strode to the door and opened it. As I walked out, I sensed that Paun was sitting on the roof. I glanced up and our eyes met. "Was the night eventful?"
He shrugged. "There were only a few beasts that ventured towards this height and they were mainly great flying bats. I sent them away with blasts of mana as warnings. After firing those, they fled every time."
I nodded. "Well, I tortured Tizi's soul all night long. Thank you for watching me. I think that it is time that I become the true god of this island. Let us shed all of the blood that runs in this Tyrannosaurus Rex's veins. We will become the new apex predators."
He smiled. "Let's go."
