I took a short nap in the afternoon as the others stayed holed up around the cave. When I woke up, it was to the feelings of another. I could feel my Raptor outside the door. It was getting ready to kill.
I jumped out of my bed and hurried towards the door as I removed a metal arrow as well as my compound bow. The others were also staring at my Raptor. It was growling. It smelled humans and they were not part of our group.
With the string of mana attached to its soul, I forced its very being to the side as I took the reins of its body. I had limited control of my own body. As the others talked to me, I ignored them.
The Raptor's smells, sight, and everything else were my own. It's sight was different from my own and so it took a second to get used to. Through the trees, I could see the heat signatures of nine people. Some looked to have bows while others had crossbows.
I let the Raptor take control back over its body and I turned my attention to my own. I turned to the four who had been trying to talk to me all along. I opened the door and yelled at them. "GET INSIDE NOW!"
An arrow flew past Font's head and buried itself upon the doorway. They followed me inside. I sighed. "There's nine of them outside. We have better weapons than them and we have a tame. I commanded the raptor to back off. My plan is for them to get even closer and at that point, I will have the Raptor distract them as we make our stand."
And so they approached us. They shouted taunts at us. "You bastards, Are all of you too scared to face us? Do you not want to die again?"
Their taunts made me decide one thing, not a single one of them would be joining our tribe. I would kill them all and perhaps I would make a slave of any who surrendered
I commanded the Raptor to attack them. I heard the Raptor running towards them in a frenzy and from a quick look from the Raptor's perspective, I could see that most of them had turned around towards it.
I nodded to the others. "Now."
I unlocked the door and drew back my compound bow. With my foot I kicked open the door. As soon as it opened, I saw a face staring at me. I released the arrow. Blood spattered and the survivor's life had been snuffed to hell before he had hit the ground.
The others advanced through the door and fired their bows. As I was pulling another arrow from my inventory and stringing it, I borrowed the Raptor's eyes. It was on them, but it had taken hits and was very damaged.
It jumped upon the first and ripped her throat out. It turned to the next and an arrow hit it in the back. It screamed, but still advanced. It sunk its teeth into a man's chest and then ripped a chunk out. It had bitten through a portion of ribcage and had swallowed the man's heart.
As the Raptor was about to turn to its third victim, an arrow took it in the eye. My connection was cut, but I knew where the remaining opponents were outside the door from the raptors' vision.
There were three dead from our first volley of arrows and two from the Raptor. I swung the door open and let an arrow loose. It took a man in the neck, and he fell to the ground soundlessly with his mouth wide open and his hands clutched about his neck.
As I closed the door, an arrow slammed against the wood. They had been too slow. Their reaction timing was poor. I turned around to the others. "We are all going to rush out. Shoot them with laced arrows and then switch to your combat knives. I want at least one to question and torture. Just don't die."
As we all readied ourselves, I counted down from three with my fingers. 3-2-1, I burst out the door. I heard a twanging sound, and I felt a painful sensation against my leg. I disregarded the pain and forced my muscles to function. I would bring them down.
I set my sights on one and released an arrow. It hit her in the stomach. She screamed and then tried to pull out the arrow, but her eyes glazed over, and she fell to the ground.
The others had also shot two others. One, who had been shot twice, fell to the ground unconscious almost instantly, while the other started to run towards me with a spear for a moment, only to slow down and fall flat on his face. There was only one left who was aiming an arrow at Font. I pulled out my combat knife and made a mad dash for him. My legs did not work as well as they should have, for I had an arrow still stuck in one. Regardless, I would not let Font die.
I poised the knife in my hand as I realized I would not make it in time, and I threw it. It rotated through the air and sliced through the string of the woman's bow who was aiming at Font.
Font drew another laced arrow and put it to the string of his bow. He fired at the woman and the arrow caught her in the chest. She was knocked to the ground from the impact as she screamed in agony. As she hit the ground, she lost consciousness.
The pain that I had ignored seemed to swamp my senses all at once as the adrenaline in my body slowly faded. I had lost a lot of blood.
I turned to the others who were coming towards me. "Gather the ones who are unconscious and have Twon guard them. The rest of you, quickly loot the bodies and bring everything inside the cave."
They did as I said, and I turned to the arrow stuck in my thigh. I ripped the arrow out and quickly applied pressure with my shirt which I had unequipped and then removed from my inventory.
I had lost a lot of blood, but there was not a lot I could do about it. As I stood there applying pressure to my wound, I looked at the blue window which had appeared in front of me.

I tapped "YES" on the display and then distributed my point into mana sense.
I hobbled back through the entrance of the cave. It was time to interrogate the ones whom we had captured.
