"Today's physical education class ends here. See you next time." After saying that, Jake turned around and left, not wanting to linger here for a moment.
After one class, Jake realized that he was even more exhausted than after a night of barbecue, not physically tired, but mentally drained. At the beginning, the girls were quite reserved, feeling a bit embarrassed when he taught them. But as time went on, the girls became more proactive, even taking the opportunity to touch his muscles and take advantage of him.
Being a spirited young man, Jake couldn't bear such stimulation, especially with so many girls around. At this moment, he finally understood what Verna meant when she told him "Good luck" before the class. This physical education class was like a trial. So, after this class, he felt utterly worn out.
"Hey, teacher, don't leave!"
"Teacher, give us your contact information, in case we have any questions about swimming."
"Teacher, do you have time for dinner tonight? Let's talk more about swimming."
As Jake left, the students became more playful, making jokes about him. Though they only interacted for one class, they found that their new teacher was inexperienced and naive, just a few years older than them. They could tell he wasn't used to being around girls, which made them feel more at ease and daring. Everyone dared to joke around with Jake.
These comments from the girls made Jake walk even faster, utilizing his agility to the extreme. The scene of Jake leaving in a sorry state caused the girls to burst into laughter. They were all very satisfied with this physical education class and their new teacher.
Xenia smiled as she watched Jake's fast retreating figure. She murmured to herself, "Is he the one you're interested in? He's quite interesting." Her voice was low, and no one around heard her.
"Selena, Selena!" Judy caught up with Selena in the cafeteria and hurriedly called her, "Something big happened!"
"Something big? What happened?" Selena asked casually while eating her meal.
"Somebody is trying to seduce your boyfriend. Isn't that a big deal?" Judy said. Selena rolled her eyes at her. She was too lazy to explain again. Her dorm mates seemed to have decided that Jake was her boyfriend.
"What's going on? Is someone trying to seduce Selena's boyfriend?" Novia asked curiously.
Novia had seen Jake in Verna's car last time. After returning to the dorm, she told Selena about it. Selena didn't seem to care much, which worried Novia. She felt Selena was too relaxed about it, and there was a possibility of someone stealing her boyfriend. Now, the thing she was worried about seemed to be becoming a reality.
"Yeah, and there are quite a few people," Judy said, "By the way, Selena, why didn't you tell us earlier that your boyfriend is our school teacher?"
"Teacher? He's not," Selena didn't bother to correct Judy's title, knowing she was talking about Jake. "I remember he seemed to be doing barbecues." Selena didn't have much interaction with Jake, so she didn't know much about him.
"And you still don't admit it," Judy rolled her eyes at Selena and continued, "He is our school teacher, and he's our swimming class teacher!"
"Swimming instructor?!" exclaimed Selena and Novia simultaneously. They both knew that Dale and Judy had signed up for swimming classes, but they never expected their teacher to be Jake.
"I heard from the senior students that swimming classes used to be segregated for boys and girls, and the female students had female teachers," Novia asked.
"That was in the past," Judy replied. "There is no rule that says the swimming instructor for girls must be female."
"Is your teacher really Selena's boyfriend?" Novia still had some doubts. "Isn't it awkward during classes?"
"It was a little awkward at first," Judy nodded, "but we got used to it later on. Everyone adapted, and it's not that weird anymore. Besides, Selena's boyfriend has a great physique and a fantastic personality. You don't know how many girls have a crush on him. That's why I warned Selena to keep an eye on her boyfriend."
"It's none of my business," Selena said. "But I never expected him to be our school teacher. He never mentioned it before."
Selena felt that Jake had intentionally hidden this from her. When he brought her to Princeton University, he didn't mention his job as a teacher. Regardless, even if he had mentioned it, it wouldn't change Selena's cautious thoughts.
"Selena, did you two have a fight?" Judy asked, seeing Selena's "angry" expression.
"why quarrel? Is it because he teaches girls' swimming classes?" Novia also looked curious.
Both of them thought that this was a likely reason. After all, teaching swimming classes for girls was different from teaching other subjects, and Jake was the teacher for the female students. It wasn't strange for Selena to feel jealous.
"That's why you two haven't been going out on dates recently, and you come straight back to the dormitory after class," Novia said, realizing the situation.
"I've said it many times, we are not in a romantic relationship. Why would we argue?" Selena said exasperatedly.
"It's normal for couples to quarrel," Judy assumed that Selena and Jake had a lovers' quarrel. "Every couple has disagreements, and with a boyfriend like him, who has such a great physique and teaches swimming to girls, it's easy for other girls to be attracted to him. If I were you, I would be upset too."
Selena didn't bother explaining further and just lowered her head to eat. However, she couldn't help but wonder if Jake's physique was really that good. In her eyes, he seemed a bit lean.
"Selena, even if you're angry, you should still be careful," Judy continued. "Do you know who else is in our swimming class? Xenia, the campus belle!"
"The one who is referred to as one of the two campus belles along with Wendy at Princeton University?" Novia asked in astonishment.
"Yes, exactly!" Judy confirmed.
