Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The Brotherhood of Mutants must have done it

Streets of New York.

Storm and Rogue, disguised, mingled with the crowd, looking around every now and then.

They were hoping to find Jean and Logan in the crowd.

"New York is so big, and we have no idea where to look?"

Rogue said with some displeasure.

Professor X asked them to go out and look for them, but he didn't give any clues as to how to find them?

Seeing that Storm wasn't paying attention to her, Rogue continued, "Maybe these two have secretly gone somewhere for a private meeting?".

"After all, Logan is such an attractive man."

Storm gave Rogue a silent look: "Clean your brains."

"Judging by the way things are going, the professor can't find them even with his thought power, something has happened."

The two of them had been with Professor X for so long that they knew all too well how strong Professor X's abilities were.

Spying on New York without the use of a special device did not pose any problem.

If such a device were used, Professor X could invade the consciousness of all the people of the planet in an instant.

This is not an exaggeration.

As long as there were people on Earth, there was nothing that Professor X couldn't find.

But now Gene and Logan have just disappeared.

Therefore, the Storm seemed very likely that something had happened to these two, and this something was deadly.

Storm's nervousness was not passed on to Rogue, who looked like she was out shopping.

Soon, messages from the others came to Storm's headset.

"No leads on Jean or Logan, but what about you?"

"We don't have either, the 6th and 11th blocks have been inspected, and there are absolutely no leads."

Suddenly Rogue said half jokingly: "Why don't we call Jean."

This remark was immediately met with contempt from all her comrades.

"Stop pretending, let's keep looking."

"Maybe we can look for a Brotherhood."

Storm clicked her headset and addressed several of her teammates.

As soon as the crowd heard this, everything became clear.

There weren't many people in the world who could handle Jean and Logan, and the Brotherhood of Mutants were one of those people.

More importantly, the X-Men and the Brotherhood have always opposed each other.

"I think we should report this to the professor first."

Cyclops' voice came through the headset.

Storm thought for a moment and replied, "No, if this is really related to the Brotherhood of Mutants, the professor may have to reconsider his decision."

"Let's just infiltrate the Brotherhood of Mutants and get them out of there."

There was nothing definite yet, and Storm was already thinking about taking a step towards the Brotherhood of Mutants.

After listening to Storm's suggestion, the others also decided that it made sense.

They knew Professor X's character too well.

"Good!"

"Let's set up a meeting place first."

"From my side!"

Soon, all the members of the X-Men appeared in front of Storm, who was currently beating up some punks in the alley.

"Fuck off!"

A group of punks immediately ran away under Storm's intimidation.

"We need to come up with a good plan."

Cyclops said in a deep voice.

Rogue shook her head, then took out her phone: "You guys work out a plan, and I'll try to call Jean."

Why not call Logan?

Because Logan, the old fart, basically didn't carry a phone with him when he went outside.

Everyone at the X Academy knew about it.

Several people did not bother Rogue and began to plot an invasion of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

After searching for a while, Rogue finally found Jean's contact information on her phone and dialed her number.

She was just trying, not having any hopes.

"Okay, that's it!"

"Split into two teams, one will simulate, the other will go inside and find Jean and Logan."

"Hurry up, we have to save...".

"Jin, where are you now!"

Rogue's voice rang out, asking excitedly.

Several X-Men looked at her.

Is it really possible?

Cyclops instantly sensed how several of them were settling down here, making serious plans.

Like fools.

Storm, on the other hand, was a little unconvincing, thinking Rogue was lying to them.

Snatching the phone out of Rogue's hands, "How can you find someone through the phone if even the professor couldn't find her."

"I'm fine."

"I'll be back in a minute."

Jean's voice came over the phone, literally.

Jean was sitting at the dining table, having just had a nice dinner, holding the phone in her hands with an apologetic look in her eyes.

After making sure that Jean was all right, Rogue continued: "Gene, is Logan with you?"

"Logan?"

Jean froze, then replied, "No, Logan is not with me."

"The professor sent Logan to look for you, and now Logan doesn't get in touch."

At the dinner table, Jean suddenly became a little anxious, if something happens to Logan through her fault, then she will never be able to live in peace.

"Don't worry, guys, I'll meet you in a minute."

"Okay, we'll be waiting for you."

After hanging up the phone, Jean gathered her things: "Mr. Alex, I'm sorry, but my family is looking for me."

"I have an urgent matter right now, and I have to leave immediately."

"Do you need help?"

Gwen kindly replied, "My father is a police officer, and he is the best at finding people."

"Thank you, Gwen, but it's better if we do it ourselves."

With these words, Jean was about to leave.

"Don't forget to change into your clothes before you leave."

"You'll be the center of attention if you come out like this."

Jean blushed.

Down below.

Jean turned to Alex and thanked him, "Mr. Alex, thank you so much for tonight."

"You're welcome, in the future you can come more often when you have time."

"Absolutely."

"See you next time, Jin."

As soon as she came to the door.

Jean noticed a figure lying in the corner.

"Logan?"

Alex was stunned.

This scene...

So a little familiar, right?
