"Whose good? Theirs or yours?"
"Theirs, of course," Reno looked like he swallowed a lemon, "What do you think I do this for? Fame? Fortune? I am protecting them from the monsters that could ruin their lives. I do this for them."
"That's bullshit, Reno," I stepped closer and leaned on the table to look him in the eyes, "It won't be long before this escalates. Your forces are dwindling. You are losing people faster than you can kill the monsters, and before long they will break through. You don't want to tell anyone of the Others and that means you will eventually run out of soldiers to send to their deaths. You will lose this fight, Reno, and in exchange for your pride, you will trade the lives of all the people in the tower."
Reno narrowed his eyes as he heard me talk about things that he still hasn't told even his closest advisors, "Who are you, really?" he asked and I just sighed.
