The receptionist clapped softly, "That is perfect. I think we can find something very useful for you," she began walking into the inner room and directed me to follow her, "Please come with me," she said as we walked through the door and into a large room that held an unbelievable among of weapons. The room shone with glittering lights as gold and silver weapons decorated glass cases lining the walls.
There were weapons for every single class here and I could see that each one of them was made from the crystals of high-ranking beasts. Talia took me to a room and told me to sit down as she went out and came back later with a cart carrying many weapons. They were all fire based weapons.
"Let us begin with this one," Talia said as she brought out a short sword that had a gold handle and a silver blade, "This was crafted using the magic core of the C rank [Ember Pheonix]. It has great regeneration abilities and you will never have to sharpen it since it automatically sharpens itself each day. It's going for fifteen silver coins"
She dropped that one and brought out another one. This one was also a short sword, it didn't shine as much as the previous one, but its blade looked just as sharp.
"This is an Earth based sword that I think will work perfectly for fire mages as well. It was crafted using the crystal of a C rank [Magma Golem]. It can increase the effectiveness of all fire based attacks and since it is also an earth based weapon, it will increase strength by +3 once you wield it. It is worth twenty silver coins."
Talis could see my lack of interest on my face and she immediately dropped that weapon and brought out another one. This was how he continued bringing out sword after sword. There were a few daggers in the cart as well, but I just didn't like any of them. All of the weapons were just fancy names and fancy stats. They wouldn't last long against a strong opponent and they would break if they are hit by a stronger weapon. If I used them to fight a B ranker or even an A ranker, they would break in three hits or less. I needed something that would last.
And after almost an hour of looking at fancy swords, I finally saw something that I knew would last. They were twin daggers with sharp blades that looked like the canines of a large beast. It was polished silver and the handles were made from black and red strips of leather. I picked one of the daggers and tested the balance in my arm.
"Those are twin daggers crafted from the canines of the A class [Ember Drake]. The core of the sword is infused with the Drake's mana core and there are strong traces of fire magic inside the daggers." Talia began to explain, "There has already been another customer who desired these daggers, but I feel you would be a better fit for them."
"Stop sweet-talking me and tell me how much it is," I said.
"Fifty silver coins, sir," Talia said
That was a lot of money, but there was no need for me to feel cheated because this dagger was very much worth it. If I get this dagger, I could use it against A classes easily and there would be no need to change it for at least a year. And it isn't like I don't have the money for it.
I grabbed both daggers and tossed them in my spatial ring before bringing out fifty cons from the ring and giving it to her. Talis bowed professionally, "Thank you for your patronage, sir."
"Yeah, that's fine," I said, and put my hands in my pocket while walking out.
Next, I went to the boutique to buy some clothes. I went in the direction where I remembered the boutique was in my last life and I entered to look around. There were some high-class people in the boutique, and most of them were wearing classy suits and long dresses so I could tell they weren't adventurers. I walked up to the receptionist there.
"Hello," the receptionist bowed, "What can I do for you?"
"I need an outfit for entering the dungeon. Something sturdy."
"Oh, an adventurer," the receptionist smiled, "Please come this way. We have just what you need."
I was led into the back room and I finally saw the sort of clothes that I was looking for. There were boots and gloves along with thick vests and cargo pants in here. Even though the design for these clothes was very different from the ones outside, the quality was still top-notch. The receptionist handed me over to an attendant before she left.
"Give me something in black," I said to the attendant as I started walking towards the changing room. The attendant nodded as she started to grab clothes and followed after me. Sometimes, she would stop and look at my physique and then she would grab some more clothes before following me again. By the time I got to the changing room, she had five shirts and pants, along with a few jackets and hoodies in her hand and she handed them to me.
One of the outfits was a complete suit and I took that away once I saw it. Who the hell fights in a suit? I grabbed a simple pair of trousers, and a shirt with the hands stopping on my forearm. It didn't look bad and it also didn't look like it would tear with one stab, so I decided to buy them.
I tried out the others, and I picked out two others that I liked. One of them was a hoodie and long trousers set, and the second one was a v-neck t-shirt and a pair of black jeans that I liked. I got out of the dressing room and told the attendant to reinforce the clothes that I picked. She nodded and left.
The reinforcement would not be enough to stop an explosion, but it was strong enough to stop low-level knives, as well as keep out the cold and heat so that your body would have the same temperature no matter what dungeon you enter.
I walked up to the counter when I saw that the attendant was finished with the reinforcement and I paid five silver for the clothes and reinforcement.
"Do you know where the armory is?" I asked and the attendant was about to answer me when a shadow suddenly fell over me. I turned and looked up to see a tall man standing there and looking down at me.
"Do you want something?" I asked the man and his eyes narrowed.
"The Drake," he said, "Are you the one that bought the dagger forged from the Drake's tooth?"
I looked behind the man, and I saw Talia standing there with an apologetic look on her face. One of her cheeks was red and I could guess what had happened. So this is the person that she said was showing interest in the daggers before me. Did he really hit a woman for something so petty?
"Yes, I bought it." I said, "Is there a problem?"
"I'll pay you back the amount that you paid for it if you just hand it over now," the man said, "that dagger is rightfully mine."
"If you were so interested in the dagger, why didn't you just buy it?" I asked, "Why wait this long for someone else to take it?"
"That is none of your business, boy," the man frowned, "Just give me that dagger and we can both go on our way."
Once the man called me a boy, I immediately hated him. I leaned into his personal space and gave him a look of disgust, "And what if I say no?" I asked in irritation.
I could immediately feel the area around me heat up as the man's frown deepened. He was a fire mage and he was very close to unleashing a skill even though we were inside a boutique filled with flammable outfits. From what I could feel, the man was probably a B rank.
"Do you really want to start something in here?" I said as dark miasma began to spread out from my body. Clashing against the yellow-orange aura of fire from him. The boutique was now filled with onlookers and the attendant was frantically trying to calm us both down, "Do you think you can bare the consequences?"
"Boy, do you know who I am?"
"An idiot," I shot back sharply and the man's aura flared as a fire began to spread around the boutique.
