Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Power of the Primordial bind

Xander was a person that had always seen most of life not good. Although living with a family, being happy, having a friend, all that was good but he wanted more than that.

That's when he came across a particular YouTuber that made videos of his adventures in virtual worlds and that person had so much fame and money from those adventures that people, not just Xander, wanted to become like him.

...now look where that got him. In the nest of, creepy, humanoid mosquitoes.

Xander chuckled bitterly as he just noticed that he keeps meeting mosquito like monsters. Never has he seen a lion like monster or even a wolf, weird.

The creature in front of Xander shrieked so loudly awakening all of it's brothers and sisters to partake in the small meal it prepared.

Xander wasn't ready to become any creature's food so he immediately dashed towards the other side of the tunnel, the T junction side.

Xander was stopped as some of these creature's fell in front of him from the ceiling, all shrieking at him and coming closer, soon, he was surrounded by these mosquito men.

"Tsk... you all think you can eat me for dinner?! Well Guess what?! I'm hungry too! So it's either you eat me or I eat you! If I'm going to die, I'm going to take as many of you as I can with me!" Xander shouted and then pulled out his sword and the dagger on his waist.

His heart was beating faster and faster. It wasn't fear, no. It was something else, excitement. Though Xander couldn't rationally think that the fact that he was about to die was exciting.

"Ahh...!" Xander shouted as he charged towards one of these freak bugs and slashed at them.

The mosquito man was quick as it dodged but Xander was quicker with almost times two Agility of a normal human.

He immediately twisted his hand and sliced one of the arms off of the mosquito man and finally plunged his sword into its chest. He didn't even wait for a few seconds and immediately removed the sword before cleaving the head off of the creature.

Xander looked satisfied and he looked back to see the same hundreds coming towards him and he ran towards them like a battle maniac.

If a normal person sees him now the only thing they would think would be that this kid is extremely crazy and is a lost cause.

But Xander didn't feel like that. He felt that as he killed more monsters something was building up within him. At first he thought it was the exp points but then, only when he levels up with his body change.

Xander didn't feel like he was getting tired yet. He was glad that he chose to increase his stamina but it wasn't unlimited and could still finish.

Soon, the monsters that Xander killed reached a decent amount. He was like a butchering machine, swinging his sword wildly cleaving every monster like butter.

There was when he attacked a mosquito man from behind and the sword didn't pass through their thick shell, but he knows where to attack now, neck, arms, chest, and eyes.

The bodies of the creatures piled up behind him and black blood flowed from the small hill of mosquito men.

Below the small hill, Xander was panting for breath. He checked his stamina to see whether he'll fall soon and to his utter dissappointment, yes.

[Stamina: 3/15]

From the system notifications, most of the creatures here were level 2 and 3, giving him 10 exp and 15 exp respectively.

*Ding!*

[You have leveled up to level 6. You have five stat points to distribute. You have one skill point.]

Just as the system notification reached his ears he immediately stopped and widened his eyes in realization.

'How could I forget?! I have skills!!'

He was indeed very stupid for forgetting that this was also a world of magic and monsters.

'Assign three stat points to Stamina and two stat points to Agility.' He said in his mind.

In that moment, Xander felt refreshed and back to life and he didn't feel like collapsing anymore, but the numbers of the mosquito men still ranged up to almost a hundred and these ones looked stronger as they had four arms instead of two now, some larger than the other.

'Assign two skill points to each magic skills.' He thought as he swung his sword and slashed the chest of one of the creatures.

[Assigning...]

[Skill 'Revive and enslave' has been upgraded. Can now enslave creatures at most 5 levels above you, the cost of reviving has reduced to 40 Mana points.]

[Skill 'magic flame' has been upgraded. Costs less Mana to use.]

[Skill 'Primordial binds' has been upgraded. Can now summon more chains.]

'Nice, Primordial bind.' As he thought that, a sharp pain reached his head and his view turned black but it was only briefly as he was able to see the next second, just before a black claw slashed at his shoulder.

Xander had multiple slash marks on his shoulder and most of the parts of his body as he was weak before but now, with improved Agility he could dodge more easily but he still got injured.

'What was that?' He asked inwardly, bewildered at what happened to his mind.

'It's like I now fully understand the skills. I don't need the system help?'

That wave of pain earlier was indeed the knowledge about the skills he got. It was like he trained in using it for a week in just one second and he could now understand how the skill was and what they could do.

Without hesitation Xander stretched his hand towards three of the mosquito men coming towards him and four circular, swirling red energy appeared above them and glowing red chains shot out from them, under Xander's control.

He tied the three mosquito men and he motioned his hand together and dragged them apart.

As if the chains moved with him they tightened before squeezing the creature's and splitting their body apart, pieces of their body flying in random directions and black blood splashing everywhere.

Xander smiled maniacally and looked at the remaining forty mosquito men coming towards him, squealing, enraged by the fact that a small human boy just killed a lot of their own.

Xander still wanted to run but the creature's fell from the ceiling behind him and surrounded him.

If one fell on him then he would be immobilized and vulnerable and that is death, and Xander didn't plan to die here.

The Primordial chains only took Mana to summon them and after that, Xander only needed to focus on controlling them with his mind, neat.

The four small portals that contain the chains floated and flew over to Xander's sides. Two by each side.

'Controlling them is very strenuous for my mind, but to survive, I can handle any headache.' He thought with determination as he charged forward with his sword... to finish this battle.
