Kaldarix's voice echoed, demanding an answer, yet the man standing before him, protecting Lady Bella, didn't utter a word in response. The man wore a hood, his gaze flicking from Kaldarix's imposing form to Lady Bella, trembling slightly behind him.
"This mana pattern..." the man muttered, gesturing inquisitively as he analyzed Kaldarix's appearance with his left eye. His brow furrowed in concentration.
"Elsuris never mentioned anything about this," he spoke aloud, more to himself than to anyone else. He walked side to side slowly, his boots thudding softly on the polished stone floor.
"He said there would be a threat in this era but never specified where. Could it be the dragons? But they have never been ones to attack the humans without reason like this."
"Identify yourself!"
Kaldarix's voice suddenly boomed through the hall, shattering the man's train of thought. he roared, the sound echoing off the high walls.
