Rain surveyed the area before he filled the hole he created with water and froze it. His keen eyes searched the area for any signs of past skirmishes or confrontations. However, to his surprise, there were no traces of battles or struggles across the vicinity. The absence of such evidence led him to imagine that his family and friends hadn't left the camp due to a battle.
It appeared more likely that this camp had served as their initial refuge, a temporary haven. Yet, for reasons unknown to Rain, they had made a swift departure, leaving behind these dwelling structures from the earth's materials. Their departure seemed purposeful, hinting that they had chosen to move on from this location for reasons unknown.
