I laid on the couch of my fairly scanty house, daydreaming of the moment I had shared with Amelie yesterday. It had been more than just a kiss, a symphony of hidden desire and intimacy. It was a kiss that spoke of yearning and denial at the same time. Amelie wanted me, yet she couldn't bring herself to be with me. It was truly a conflicting ordeal, but I wasn't going to back away, not when the universe had just begun paving a way for me.
I would have spent all day drowning myself in my reverie, but I was shaken back to reality by a knock on the door. I had no idea who it could be, but that didn't stop me from cursing them for the disturbance. Despite being pulled away from my fantasies, the memory of the kiss lingered on my lips, it has been etched into the corners of my brain and has become a tattoo in my hippocampus.
