Amelie
The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm, melancholic glow over the tree-lined street. The last time I walked down this path was three years ago, but it felt like a lifetime. Just walking through this street was enough to make my eyes tear up. But I was not here to cry or wallow over the past, I was here to pay a visit to the mother of my best friend, Mary Muller.
I approached the house that held so many memories, both joyful and sorrowful. Colin's mother had been like a second mother to me, and it had been a while since we last spoke. I would have visited her a lot sooner than this, but there was the stress of getting used to the environment once again, and the drama with Hassan.
