As I walked through the cold, gray corridors of the prison, I couldn't help but feel a little bit anxious. The sound of my footsteps echoed through the large hall as I approached the visiting room, tension slowly increasing with every step I took. The air was heavy with the scent of despair, and the sounds of distant voices, both pained and angry, filled the atmosphere. This was my first time visiting this place, and it would definitely be the last.
The moment we reached the visitation room,, a sense of responsibility settled upon me. I hadn't planned on doing this, but I felt it was the right thing to do. I didn't want to just leave Egypt without informing Anna about it. Whether or not I choose to accept it, her child was in my custody, and I couldn't leave without informing her of his whereabouts.
