He wasn't in any condition to aggravate the creature. Even if he was being healed by the strange screen, who could tell how much time it would take, before he was able to stand on his feets. So despite the anger and nervousness he felt toward the creature. He was stopping himself from doing anything.
"Kha" Miguel tried to reciprocate the sound, he succeeded after a few coughs. The creature looked him in the eyes. But it didn't say anything and gave Miguel another tug. He was forcefully pulled again, this time more violently than before.
"What ar…" Miguel wanted to scream at the creature, but he stopped midway. Because he saw, just where his body had been, there was a sting sticking out from the ground. The corrosive green from the sting, spread onto the flowers, rotting them instantly.
"You saved me," The fact was hard to digest. The same creature who had mindlessly hunted him till his death was saving him right now after all of this.
"But why?" He tried asking the creature. But he knew that it was futile, none of the gray-eyed creatures possessed intelligence, they were all mindless beasts who bore greed and only desire to hunt its prey. It might have saved him, thinking that Miguel was its prey and thus only Kha was the one who could kill it.
"Kha'zix" The creature said, surprising Miguel.
"What Kha'zix?" Neither Miguel nor Kha'zix were able to understand each other. They could only look at each other with confusion. Then Kha'zix pointed the claws at itself. "Kha'zix."
"You are Kha'zix" Miguel didn't understand the creature. But the pointing must have meant that it was telling that the creature itself was Kha'zix. But the creature didn't reply back to Miguel as it stood stiff, deeply looking him in the eyes.
A Scream pierced the skies. The creature stood looking at the direction of the voice, while Miguel had turned back at the sudden sound. Looking at the skies, there stood a single bee, even larger than the others. Its body illuminated in the pinkish glow, its face deeply locked in one direction. The leader and the queen bee were both fiercely looking at each other, as if they couldn't wait to bite each other's head off.
Both didn't waste any time, as a battle erupted between them. The piercing scream from the queen bee seemed to have disarmed the imaginary barrier that stopped the bees from flying higher. Now with it gone, the bees gained an upper hand against those gray-eyed creatures.
The battle between the duo wasn't something Miguel was able to observe with his eyes. He had to open his eyes to his limit and concentrate to even take a look at them. The battle happened relentlessly between those two. The creatures who stood near the duo, either they were the sharp-toothed four limbed creature, or the lightning insects, they both vanished without any aftermath.
The same thing propelled those creatures, to get away from the duos as far as possible. The leader would use those black sheened teeth of his straight to the queen bee, while the queen bee would use her green sting, to meet the leader's attack.
Miguel hadn't known when, but two of the bees had separated from the rest and headed straight in their direction. It was late, Miguel could only see his own self reflected from 1000's of those microscopic eyes of the bees. Miguel put his hands in front of him, in a futile attempt that it would save him.
He was indeed saved. But it wasn't his hands. A second later Miguel removed his hands from his eyes, to see Kha'zix standing in front of him. The creature's posture, ready to meet those two bees. Miguel didn't stop to look after that. He was in no condition to battle. How the heck he was even walking at this moment was a wonder to him.
Miguel walked left and right away from the battlefield. He could see the half-torn faced Kha'zix handling two of those terrifying bees. Kha'zix looked even superior to what he had shown while fighting Miguel. He was fighting two bees, while others weren't even able to handle one of them.
Kha'zix quickly dodged between the lightning strikes that traveled in his direction. Making use of the terrain, he would confuse the bees to outrun them. And when the bees would least expect it, Kha'zix would strike with its terrifying mouth straight against the bees. One of those bites, took the bees out from its stomach.
Miguel got chills watching Kha'zix. It didn't look like a mindless beast anymore. The way it was using those terrains, was just like how Miguel had used it to hide from those creatures. It was learning, like any other human being would as it faced a life and death situation. Watching Kha'zix take a bite from its sharp jaw, he could only guess what would have happened if those jaws had somehow gotten him too.
Meanwhile the fight between the leader and the queen bee happened to become more chaotic by each moment. At first they seemed to be only gauging each other's strength. But now Miguel could feel the power radiating from both of those creatures. Magic, it was definitely magic, and even then he wasn't surprised. When the world itself was twisted beyond science.
The leader used his own kind to block the attacks of the queen bee. Meanwhile the queen bee looked frustrated as she tried going past all the creatures the leader threw in her way. The queen bee had been dodging yet one of those creatures when she found herself face to face with the leader itself. The leader's jaw came in a swift manner, hurling itself on to the queen's neck. The queen bee reaction was fast but she couldn't fully escape from the leader's attack.
The leader landed on the ground, crouching low, a portion of one of queen bee's translucent wings torn in its jaws.
The queen bee upon receiving the damage, became more fierce and launched something which Miguel hadn't seen before. Her eyes became reddish under the pinkish glow of its own body. The radiation called Miguel to look at her. Become her own part. He should destroy those abdominations, who were hurting his queen.
And just the other moment, Miguel woke up with a deep sense of floating in his head. His terrified eyes looked toward the others, those specially who had dared to look toward the queen's eyes. They became attracted to her. Moving toward her as if nothing else mattered in the world. Even some of the gray-eyed were attracted to the queen. They forced their way to the majesty's enemy. The leader itself stood stiff, under those terrifying yet ethereal eyes of the queen.
The queen bee's mouth opened. A pinkish orb gathered at the tip of her mouth. Two of her pincers held the orb, in their place as it took its definite shape. The glow of it increases with more seconds. The beating of her wings stopped for a second, her eyes tracked her target. With a final push the orb hurled toward the leader, accelerating with each passing second.
The leader woke up, its mouth bleeding with the same black blood. The instant it saw the orb swarming toward itself. It didn't hesitate as it started running toward the ball of orb. The leader's mouth opened wider with each passing second, an apparition of dark fog rolled around the creature's jaws. Taking a form of illusory jaws. And just a moment later it crunched onto the ball of orb, teeming with great powers.
What happened next was not something Miguel could see or perceive. He was thrown straight into the air, his mind blank from the sudden impact. His body, turning itself, crashed again and again onto the petals, each time he would lose himself, to suddenly awaken under the jarring speed at which he finally settled onto the surface.
For a minute or so, Miguel could only taste the ironish tang in his mouth. The tingling sensation in his ears, disturbed his mind. His headache with the severe impact. He lay there, helpless waiting for his body to function itself.
His hands searched for strength as he tried lifting his body from the ground. His body numb from the sensation of feeling. His shifting vision traced for anything in front of him, gradually settling itself to show a devastating scene.
The bees, the gray-eyed creatures all laid on the ground, either battered or broken from the impact. There were no traces left of those who were standing near the edge of the attack. The whole area where the queen bee and the leader were fighting just a moment ago, was scorched to ashes. The foul smoke filled the air. Miguel couldn't even find the trace of either of them.
Had they finally died? DId they take out each other?
Miguel didn't have to wait long for the answers, because before he heard something. And the most troubling thing about it was he heard it near himself. The body of queen bee inches away from the ground, just beside himself.
