Chapter 8 - Chapter 7

Chae followed him silently. The party was still as lively as ever. There were people dancing and laughing joyfully as they drank cocktails and chatted with the guests, while some were standing in a circle to sing songs or play the music. There were several tables set aside with many different food items, including sushi, kimchi fried rice, jjigae, ramen, yakitori soup, and more. There were also bottles of wine and other alcoholic beverages.

"Your target is over there, Chae." Kim said. "I'm going to talk to a few people, so do your part and do not use your real name when introducing yourself."

"Stop luring me like a kid; I know what to do." She huffed impatiently.

Kim simply smiled amusingly before leaving her alone. Chae scanned the crowd for a couple of minutes until she spotted her target in the center of the party. She walked in his direction as fast as she could without drawing attention, which wasn't very difficult since everybody was dancing and singing happily.

"Hello, Mr. Choi, this is such an amazing party, and I feel so lucky to be a part of it." She greeted him with a polite greeting.

"Oh hello." He grinned. "You are Min Su's date, right?"

"Of course I am." She replied with a nod. "I'm really glad to know you remember that."

"How won't I remember such a beautiful lady like you?" Choi Seong Hyuk asked in a flirtatious manner. "Where is Min Su, by the way?"

"He had important things to deal with." She replied.

"What a shame. How could he leave his date unattended?" His voice lowered seductively, making her smile.

Then he looked at her hands and sighed.

"What's wrong?"   She asked worriedly after noticing his reaction.

"Well, I guess I'm disappointed that there's no glass of wine in your hand." He replied. "I thought you loved this party of mine."

"Of course I do." Chae  replied. "My apologies."

"It's alright." He smiled kindly before handing her the glass of wine. "Here you go."

"Thank you." She accepted the wine, but of course she wasn't going to drink it. Instead, she threw it onto her dress, causing it to stain it.

"Oh my gosh!" She yelled. "I didn't mean to do it, I swear. It must've spilled on accident on my dress." She turned to look at Choi Hyuk and saw that he seemed quite shocked.

"It's alright."   He assured her. "Just follow me; I will take you to a room where you can clean up."

"Thank you so much." Chae bowed gratefully while Choi was looking at her cleavage, which was now ruined by the wine stain.

Once inside a room, he pointed out the toilet. "You can clean up here, and then we can have a private discussion over a glass of wine."

"No problem." She nodded before heading to the bathroom to wash her dress.

Chae took care of cleaning herself up with a smirk on her face. It was obvious that the fool brought her here to have sex with her, but she wouldn't let him do anything.

'What a pervert.' She muttered as she thought of how he kept looking at her cleavage.

Once done, she exited the bathroom to see Choi sitting on a couch with a glass of wine and two glasses on the table.

"Please sit down." He motioned to the empty seat next to him.

After sitting down, she looked at him. "Mr. Choi, if we stay here, my date will get worried."

"Don't worry about that. He will be pretty busy, and I can't stop myself from knowing more about you." He grinned.

"Oh my, please don't flatter me like that." Chae said. "Let me pour out a drink for us."

"No problem." He smiled. Tonight he was going to get his hands on such a beautiful girl, and it made him so excited. While he was still thinking about that nonsense, Chae slipped two sleeping pills into his wine.

'Min Su said that two will put a person to sleep in ten minutes or more.'

"Mr. Choi, here you go." She said it sweetly. "You can ask me any question on your mind."

"Oh, of course I will." He smiled as he took a sip of the wine in his glass. "Tell me, does Min Su satisfy you properly?"

Chae could feel her blood boiling. Who in the world asks someone that question? Especially if they are not close to the person.

"That's a funny question." She replied with a fake smile. It was kind of hard to keep it, but she had to try until he passed out.

Well, he does. I have never had a boring time with him." She said.

"I'm sure there are other people who can satisfy you better." Choi muttered; he was feeling the effects of the drug that was put in his "I'm sure I can do it."

"Mr. Choi, don't say such dirty things." Chae turned her face to behave as if she were feeling shy.

"I'm not joking. You have made me so excited for a long time." Choi muttered. It was getting really hard for him to control himself; his vision was getting quite hazy.

"But what about Kim? If he finds out, then there will be problems." Chae muttered. She could feel her skin begging for her to slap his hands away from her thighs.

"Who is going to tell him?" The man asked. "It's just two of us here; he won't find out."

Chae pretended like she was a shy girl by covering her face with her hands while saying yes.

'Twenty more seconds, and he will pass out because of the win, She thought.

"You are so beautiful." Mr. Choi kept on stuttering as he tried to use his hands to turn her face in his direction.

"Are you alright, Mr. Choi? You look quite pale." Chae asked.

"It's nothing. Just tell me, what's your name?" The man asked.

'My name, huh?'

Chae stood up and sat on his lap, then whispered into his ears. "My name is Hang Chae Yeong."

Upon hearing her name, Choi was shocked. "You are an SPF officer." Those bastards are trying to play me."

"Bingo, but you made a little mistake. I'm not an SPF officer anymore." Chae smirked. "I'm just Hang Chae Yeong."

"Y-you…" Choi couldn't complete his statement because he passed out.

'Good riddance. What a disgusting pig.' She thought. 'I'm sure this is his room. It looks way too extravagant to be a guest room.'

She stood up and started searching for files, documents, or anything related to the gemstones or child trafficking. Every nook and cranny for something reasonable, but she couldn't find anything.

'No, there has to be something.' She muttered. 'Maybe one of these drawers has a secret compartment. He won't put such an important document out in the open.'

That was the only idea she had; it has to be in a secret compartment or else this whole mission will be a flop. She tried every drawer that she had searched before, but there was nothing at all.

'Impossible. Oh Lord, please help me find it.' She muttered as her eyes landed on a book shelf; that was the only place she didn't check.

'Yes, I need to check that place.' She thought about it and immediately started searching; all she needed was one clue. 'Anything will do.'

Maybe the universe was hearing her desperate plea for help, or was it grace? Whatever it was, she didn't care because she finally found the secret compartment that she was looking for. Documents about the gemstones and trafficking deals were there, as were the buyer, location, and other things.

"Finally." She breathed a sigh of relief as she took every single document. Then she picked up her phone to call Kim.

"What's wrong, darling? I need some help." He asked immediately after he picked up the call.

"Shut up. I have gotten the documents, and your dear target has passed out." She said. "I don't want to go outside through the front door, so what should I do to leave this room?"

"That's a good question. Just go to the window and jump." He replied.

"What? Are you insane?" She yelled.

"Of course I am; don't you trust me, darling?" He chuckled.

"Of course not." She replied. "I would rather die than do that."

"That hurts." He said. "Just do it; there's a net that has been positioned to catch your fall. Once you do that, come outside; I will be waiting for you."

"What...." The call got disconnected before she could say anything.

'This arrogant bastard.' She thought before looking out the window. 'Is he trying to kill me?'

Unfortunately, there was no other opinion for her, so all she could do was jump and hope she wasn't falling to her death.
