Faye peered down at Tobias with concern she had a soft spot for this kid in her heart. He was so young, and Andre seemed much too stern with the little boy for her liking.
Tobias raised his gleaming eyes up at Faye and gave her a wide grin. "Don't you worry about me, your Grace," Giving her a thumbs up. "I'm good at my job, and Sir Andre is an excellent teacher."
Faye observed as Tobias dashed over to the gigantic knights' side and did as instructed. He retrieved the reins of the war horse, slowly leading the exhausted animal to the stables.
Andre and Merrick both turned their attention to Faye and bowed respectfully before her, each noticing she was without shoes in the snowy winter cold. They both gave a concerned sideways glance to one another, seeing her this way.
"Your Grace, where is the commander?" Merrick inquired, "and more importantly…where are your shoes? You are going to get frostbite."
