For a moment, a small moment that lasted barely even a second. All was silent, save for the breath of those around me. Those that had not already fled the scene. For the simple reason that I had not been kind to them.
I had driven them away with aggression rather than kindness. For if they had seen a smile most would stay out of pure smugness, as if I would not use force to remove them.
That was why I skipped that one step, and made it so that they all had to leave. Of course people still watched but they were of the minority and even the majority of them were out of the way.
So there was no harm with them watching. All Inari had trusted me with was there safety so I cared not what they thought of me.
That was why when I watched that husk of a building collapse a bit more. Shuffling so that those pieces of stone and brick, of concrete and all these other building materials fell on top of each other.
