My eyes slowly opened; my shoulders relaxed as they leaned against the ledge of the building I stood upon. My nose breathed in the fresh morning air. Gray eyes stared out into the distance.
Ears that caught each and every small whisper amongst those that were up this early in the morning. When the sun had not yet crested over the city. Their eyes carried dark circles and hushed voices that told of their exhaustion.
Even now... as they grew used to their jobs, appointed by those that Lily trusted. And if she trusted them to make jobs for those, to further our city then so too did I.
But even now, those thoughts were naught but a slow breeze. It slowly made its way past my mind. Reaching inwards to my thoughts for but a moment. Before being forgotten with time.
As I breathed in the cold air once more. The slight sting of the fog on my tongue, created a shiver within my body. Regulated by the fur that raised itself to protect me from the cold.
