'God dammit'
I sighed. Feeling my breath against my own skin. Feeling the warmth that it gave me against the cold of the night.
I had just gotten off of a call with Damien, not that it was really a call. But semantics and all.
Either way he was furious that we weren't there already. And I had to tell him.
God why did I have to be the one to tell him.
That we weren't even halfway there. Out of the hundreds of miles we needed to travel we had only traveled a good thirty.
Which I th ought was good for a day but apparently he didn't.
And so here we were. Our stuff strapped to our back in a facsimile of a pack mule. Only to be forced to stand when we warned to sit.
To march as we wanted to eat.
And to sprint where we wanted to rest.
I sighed. I sighed so much. But of course the other two wanted to be doing this even less than me.
