[Inari POV]
The sun set, an observation not seen but extrapolated by the darkness that shone through the surroundings. Both of our strides were long, a hurry that found us walking at a pace faster than we should have been.
Our feet found purchase in places they should not have, places that may have been dangerous to others but were mere steppingstones to keep momentum.
It was this hurry that brough us closer and close to our destination, a rush brought along by the complete absence of my skill.

A skill that I had thought to only be disabled for a moment, for the duration of our stint in the city. Under it too. But no, it was not.
Even as we left through the tunnel, the darkness of the subway faded to the light of stars, ones that shone brightly in the sky.
Yet back to my portal, I had thought it to be some sort of widespread barrier, or some sort of skill that suppressed my ability. Yet I must have been wrong.
