Inari pov
…
My fingers are set against the ground. Waiting… waiting… and waiting just a bit more. There's a bang. And then an explosion. I find myself frowning.
But I know that I can't spring the trap. Not yet. Not quite yet… My eyes narrow. There's a presence above me. I'm huddled in this cramped basement. A formation of traps around me, ready, waiting.
Just waiting for the moment that I give them the signal. Waiting for that great attack to cut through the ceiling and for it to reveal me. The fox that stands below here.
An illusion sits next to me, telling me of the situation. Her scent is there… her presence is there… even her touch is the same.
It's not real. That illusion is not real.
Even as it tells me of the situation. Even as it speaks with that seductive tone of voice. Tempting… oh god is it tempting.
