One foot after the next. I stepped onto the soggy stone, it was covered in warm water. It sustained us, gave us life giving water. Stopped us from dehydrating on the ground as we were meant to. And as I took another step, so too did the world boom with power.
I preened at this, my arms crossed in order to show the world my majesty. In this case the world was my people. My precious mermen that had followed me to the land. All in order to occupy this site. Where the most holy of conquests may begin.
All the attention, all the stares, they were all on me. Everything was for me. AH I lived for this, for the attention of the masses. For everything to be mine. But that proposal, that threat. All because of the fox, it was the fault of that fox, everything was her fault.
