My head slammed onto the table. I felt a deep sense of longing, of a hole that seemed to rip its way through my heart.
It was terrible as I had never really been away from Inari for this long. Not in the past, but now, there was considerable distance between us.
A whole states worth and I could not even be there for him. To protect my dear Inari against any and all dangers. And worst of all…
I touched my neck, my finger trailed down and touched the healed wound. A pleasure played through my head. The way that his teeth raked against my skin, the lick that healed my wound.
I shivered as I thought back to all of them. And with that remembrance I found myself wanting.
I wanted him, I wanted my Inari. But he was not here. He was out exploring and expanding, as he had said himself.
