[Inari POV]
I watched with a smile as the group came back, their frowns prominent. Stress lines, newly created, marring their faces with ugly scars.
They were grunting and groaning their complaints at the world. Their attitude even effecting those that just saw them walking back. But that was not all, there was a wolf, Okami, my gut told me. That was happily trotting around them.
Barking this way and that, acting all innocent. As if he had done nothing. I just giggled, finding his antics as amusing as any other.
Yet there was something else. Something that caught my eye immediately. Especially after dealing with all of the shit around that boy made of shadow.
It was an unusual wave of light, barely a flicker. It made itself known. Not intentionally but out of carelessness.
I smirked, my mind whirling with thoughts of what that was. A newly awakened. A new group that the spirits had not yet found.
What oh what could it be.
