It was a vast plain, only broken by the giant mountains that surrounded us. Around every part of the place.
From the first look they looked insurmountable. Thousands of miles high, with steep ridges that both looked possible and impossible. But taken together, they would be impossible, no not that, just improbable to pass.
Taking hundreds of hours of dedicated experience. But that was not the only thing that was in this plains. There was a village, surrounded by naught but a tiny wooden wall.
Only used to keep in farm animals, and easily traversable by man. Yet that wall, the place inside and everything that could be seen.
It was too mundane, too easily accessible to be anything but a trap. But we were already here and there was no where to go. The mountains were too dangerous. Especially with no experience and even then if by some miracle we made it past there. What then?
