[Inari POV]
I was woken to the sound of battle, to the sound of gunfire and screams. I was startled awake at that. Struggling in the grip of the woman holding me.
Yet even with all my power she did not budge, her eyes bulged from her head and was looking to the streets.
I did so too and found myself with the same aghast reaction. There must have been hundreds, maybe even thousands of creatures, all of them just loitering outside of here.
The hell were they doing here, and more importantly how were they all here. Last I knew of these types they were rare, barely occurring in every ten or twenty battles.
Sure they were increasing in frequency but that was only a couple more. But this, this was unprecedented. Enough that even I was startled by it.
After everything I had seen, after all of the shit I went through. I had thought I was done being surprised but apparently not.
