My eyes draw circles around the wall. My back is against the lone city. People stand below me, and ruins fall ahead of me. And through my eyes I see it. Something further than the nothing that lies in the ruins of a once great city.
They come.
One, a person of grand demeanor. His height is average, his face is of a nobility, and his cloak and garb seem oh so gaudy.
Then there is the next. She glares. Her eyes shoot lasers at me, as if to say that any wrong movement would lead to death. Her fingers fiddle with an assortment of weapons all slung under her shoulder.
And the last. His is the hardest to track. But my eyes see him. He stalks them. Every movement punctuated by a burst of magic. Light bends around him, creating a mirage that veils him from sight.
I see you.
