[Chain Warden (Lvl 20)]
[Goblin (Lvl 50)]
[Venom Wolves (Lvl 7)]
[Goblin King (Lvl 80)]
The luminous blue text illuminated the entire area, mingling with the oppressive presence of the numerous monsters now surrounding Ivan. The suffocating odds of leaving the dungeon alive seemed to mount with each passing moment, creating an atmosphere of impending doom.
In the face of this seemingly insurmountable challenge, the quest screen emerged like a beacon of hope before Ivan's eyes:
[Quest: Clear the Dungeon
Reward:
+One game gate usage
+15 SP
+20 HP]
The promise of reward and the thought of clearing the dungeon fueled Ivan's resolve in this desperate moment. He swiftly retrieved one of the mana potions he had earned from the previous quest and downed its contents, feeling the energy course through his veins.
[Skill Iron Rain is active]
The iron rods descended from above, mercilessly pelting the horde of monsters. Ivan wasted no time, his body blurring into a graceful dance of swift movement. With unparalleled speed, he weaved through the dungeon mobs, leaving a trail of wounded and bewildered creatures in his wake. His blade, imbued with a lethal poison, dealt relentless damage, exacerbating the enemy's suffering.
The venom wolves proved no match for Ivan's masterful skill and unmatched velocity. Their sluggishness made them easy prey as he cut through them like a gust of wind. Yet, the chain wardens proved a more formidable adversary.
These dark, haunting figures brandished chains with deadly scythes on their ends. Though they lacked conventional defense, their striking speed was remarkable. Ivan knew the slightest lapse in focus could lead to a deadly injury from those merciless scythes.
Despite the difficulties posed by the chain wardens, they and the venom wolves were relatively low-level compared to the goblins. The goblins, with their intimidating strength and ferocious attacks, posed a significant threat.
Their robust defense added to the challenge, requiring Ivan to deliver multiple calculated strikes to penetrate their resilience. He leaned heavily on the insidious poison effect of his blade, slowly chipping away at the goblins' vitality with every stroke.
Throughout the relentless battle, Ivan maintained a focused strategy. He skillfully disoriented the monsters with his fear skill, while simultaneously executing a deadly barrage of iron rods, obliterating the multitude of wolves and chain wardens. With meticulous precision, he channeled his attack power towards the goblins.

Amidst the chaotic fray, Ivan continued to protect Iris, who remained injured on the floor. He also skillfully avoided direct confrontation with the boss, who now merely observed Ivan's massacre, seeming to have halted any attempts at attacking.

The cavernous dungeon reverberated with the thunderous sound of clashing metals and monstrous roars as time passed relentlessly. Hours stacked upon hours, but Ivan pressed on, relentless in his pursuit of victory.
As the battle raged on he had already consumed five health potions and had depleted all his mana potions. Exhaustion weighed heavily upon him, his chest heaving as his legs threatened to give in. Despite his weariness, Ivan fought on, pushing his limits, still ensuring to defend Iris while dealing with the relentless onslaught of monsters.
Hours later, the once overwhelming horde of bloodthirsty monsters now lay in a sorry state, their lifeless bodies strewn across the floor, numbering in the hundreds. The air was heavy with the thick scent of iron, and the ground was stained crimson from the relentless bloodshed.
The dungeon, once teeming with bloodthirsty creatures, had been transformed into a graveyard of fallen foes. Even what remained of the horde—the injured venom wolves seemed to have realized the futility of fighting against Ivan's relentless onslaught. They turned tail and fled, conceding defeat.
As the battle concluded, the Goblin King maintained a distance, observing Ivan with a sense of curiosity. With his knees buckling under the weight of injuries and exhaustion, Ivan turned to face the imposing boss.
"Why won't you attack? Are you pitying me?" Ivan questioned the Goblin King, his voice tinged with a mix of weariness and defiance.
"There's no need for that. Come, I'll make sure to kill you," Ivan stated with chilling conviction, drinking a health potion before summoning the strength to rise to his feet once more.
The Goblin King responded with a thunderous roar, the sound shaking the entire surroundings, even rousing Iris from her unconscious state beside Ivan.
"We're... still alive," Iris murmured, attempting to sit up, her body aching from her wounds.
"So far, but I've managed to piss off the Goblin King, so maybe not for much longer," Ivan replied, his unwavering gaze fixed on the boss as he witnessed the formidable creature clapping its massive hands together.
The deafening sound of the clap prompted both Ivan and Iris to cover their ears in pain. Following the cacophony, a sharp screeching noise reverberated through the air as the Goblin King separated its hands slowly, revealing a massive two-sided sword appearing within it.
"The blood of my followers you spilled, I'll make you pay tenfold!" The Goblin King declared, its voice echoing through the entire forest, brimming with anger and vengeance.
"Wow, you can talk. Aren't goblins quite stupid, though?" Ivan taunted, dropping his hands from his ears as the deafening noise subsided.
"Also, why didn't you do something while I killed them? Or were you hoping they'd stop me before I got to you?" Ivan taunted further, curious about the Goblin King's motives.
"I had planned to dispose of you quickly, as you all seemed like pesky bugs. But after some time, it no longer seemed so. Now, I deem you worthy to duel me one on one, like an honorable warrior," the Goblin King replied, surprising Ivan with its newfound respect.
"A goblin talking about honor? Is this a joke? What's happening?" Ivan retorted, genuinely taken aback by the Goblin King's words.
"You puny humans think yourselves above everyone else, yet in truth, you are nothing but blindly egotistical—a trait born from your yearning desire to overcompensate for your blatant inferiority," the Goblin King declared, exposing his contempt for the human race.
"Now I almost don't want to kill you. How about you come out of this dungeon with me, and I might get you a job teaching psychology?" Ivan offered, his dry humor cutting through the tension.
"Enough chat, warrior. Let us begin," the Goblin King asserted, swinging his sword with such force that it caused a shockwave.
"I'll help," Iris muttered, wanting to support Ivan in the impending battle.
"No, just rest. I can do this alone," Ivan said resolutely, declining Iris's assistance as he stretched his body.
With determined steps, Ivan approached the towering Goblin King, stopping just a few meters away from him.
"Are you ready, human?" Vagorai asked, his massive sword at the ready.
Ivan took a long and deep breath before exhaling, locking his unwavering gaze on the formidable boss.
"Always. Come, you green bastard," Ivan replied with chilling conviction, ready to face the Goblin King head-on in a battle of wills and strength.
