"Please kindly wait here in the reception room while His Majesty is meeting with the Elders of the Rovesciato Tower."
"Thank you, kind sir." I thanked the butler before sitting down.
Moments later, a maid entered the room with a tray full of refreshments.
"The butler ordered me to serve Milady some light refreshments while waiting for His Majesty's meeting to end," she informed me, pouring hot water into my tea cup. This isn't poisoned, right?
The cupcakes, sweet rolls, and tea look appetizing! They consider these as light refreshments when I see this as a full-course meal but only full of sweets!
As a foodie, I appreciate all kinds of meals. So, who knows? Maybe this could be my last meal before meeting the emperor.
"Do you have anything else you want to have, Milady?"
I shook my head and thanked her, saying, "I don't need anything else as these refreshments are already plenty for me. I don't even think that I could finish this. Thank you."
