Chapter 46 - Last Chance

I directed the spell to General Halrith and Eirlia, creating a mirror mana shield. As soon as his attack colluded with the shield, it doubled the demonic energy mixed with my mana and reflected it to him, so he got struck by his attack and blasted away. Upon passing through several trees, he stopped his body from going further by burying his hands in the ground.

Even with this distance between us, I could still distinctly hear his eerie voice, resembling a loathsome demon.

"You…" His eyes were shooting daggers as he shook off the dirt from his clothes. "No wonder I wasn't able to feel your presence! I thought the demonic energy I felt aside from mine was from the mother tree, but you're corrupted like me!"

With the mana I had left, I summoned Earth stones from the ground and surrounded him to restrict his movements. "I am nothing like you."
