Roan walked slowly with measured steps as he approached a bush from where he had heard a rustle. The bush was still moving.
He had walked through the forest for about ten minutes now and this was the first sign of life that Roan had come across.
He arrived in front of the bush and poked with his sword causing a small rabbit to jump out of it, startling Roan.
The rabbit hopped away with its little legs giving Roan no heed.
Roan shook his head and berated himself for getting scared. "Just a rabbit and I'm this scared. "
He continued deeper and that was when he heard a howl. It was close and there were many howls reverberating through the forest.
Roan hid behind a tree as some steps approached the place Roan was hiding.
"They already found me. "Roan thought with a smile on his face. It was definitely wolves from the numerous steps that Roan could hear. They were the only animals that howl and travel in packs.
