Shangarula's ridicule echoed around the saints' round table.
"Ha, so you made a fool of yourself after all that big talk! Looks like
our high and mighty Elysium has really lost his edge!"
Of course the topic was the previous battle.
Shangarula couldn't hold back his laughter hearing that Elysium who
always had composed look on his face got beat by the Savior.
"What is so strange about it? It just means that the youngster's
growth has far exceeded our expectation."
"Yeah, right. That's exactly why you even had to resort using
Beastification to make a pathetic escape, aight? That's the Great
Elysium for you!"
"It was a matter of course. I have other priorities after all.
"Speaking of which," After replying to Shangarula's provocations in
an indifferent manner, Elysium continued, "you can't have forgotten
it, can you? The fact that you wouldn't have been able to beat the
youngster even if you had used Beastification, that is."
"Haa!? Who do you say can't beat him!?"
Bam! Hitting the round table, Shangarula bared his fangs at Elysium.
Elysium said in response to Shangarula without a change in his
expression, "You, of course."
"You fucker…"
Gigigi, as Shangarula was clawing the round table.
But then.
"…My?" the 'Shield' Saintess Shiva appeared. "It's very lively here
today. Did something good happen?"
"Ha? You already knew, didn't you? Our dependable leader here ran
away from the Savior with his tail tucked between his legs."
"My, my, is that so? But well, they're getting stronger real fast, so I
don't think it's that strange. Don't you agree? Boreios-sama."
Boreios nodded calmly to Shiva's question with his arms folded.
"Yes. Of course, the Savior need not be mentioned, but even the
saintesses' powers were beyond our imagination. Furthermore, the
matter this time would definitely spur them to become stronger. We
may not be able to defeat them one-on-one without resorting to
Beastification in our next encounter."
"Ha, those are such cowardly words coming from you, Big Guy. No
matter how strong they get, in the end they're merely humans."
"We took a lost from those humans. As did Elysium-dono, the
strongest amongst us saints. You can't deny that fact, Shangarula."
Boreios said solemnly.
Shangarula, in a very rare occasion, toned down his voice and said,
"I didn't mean all of them, I was only referring to those girls. To begin
with, can you still say that guy a human?"
""...""
Seeing both of them kept silent, Shangarula said with a bold smile, "I
know right. That guy's no longer a human. Elysium, the guy you're
preparing to be the King's Vessel is—simply a monster.
