"…It's over now, right?"
"Yeah. I also beat him for your share before cremating and sending
him off to the afterworld."
"…I see. Well, it's not like I care that much about it… But thanks,
Exa." Zana smiled gently.
"No problem." I also soften the corners of my mouth. "So, what about
the people who have turned into monsters?"
Magmell answered, "They have all been immobilized, but since a
while ago the vassals have been trying to break through the door, so
I've created walls to prevent them from getting in…"
"I see…"
Well, it was no wonder that's the case.
As Magmell said, I saw rock walls created from earth-attribute Magic
Art in front of the door, preventing the vassals' attempt to enter the
throne room.
"Well, even if they do come in, I think it's possible to settle the
situation if you use act as the agent of god by using each of your
Forms properly somehow. But first things first, we've to take care of
these people." asked Arca.
I responded, "You're right. I think I can restore them to human by
purifying them. That's how I managed to restore Terra-sama back to
her original form previously, after all. I mean, it should be safe to
assume that their condition is like the degraded version of her case,
so with Vermillion Bird Form's healing power, I should be able to
cleanse the factors that transformed them into monsters. But…"
"There ain't no way you can purify every single person in this big
country," said Ophir.
I nodded heavily, "Yeah… We don't know how many people have
monster cells implanted in them, and even if we do, some may
already be out of the country."
"Then what should we do?" asked Magmell.
I replied with a determined expression, "Let's go meet the goddess
of water—'Sinus-sama'. She is the god who governs over 'water'
and 'prosperity'. She may have a way so as to allow me to expand
my power and extend it over a wide area."
Magmell nodded, "I see. Like allowing you to be able to purify and
heal on the way while flying in Vermillion Bird Form, right?"
"Yeah. And it'd be great if I can do that in Fire God Form. You all
would be able to come with me, then," I said with a slight tinge of
disappointment, but.
Arca burst into laughter, "Hahaha, what stupid thing are you saying.
I'll come along with you even if you can only do the purification in
Vermillion Bird Form."
Of course, the rest of the girls joined in.
"I-I too!"
"'course, Imma go as well!"
"Same for me."
"Eeh…" I couldn't possibly carry you all at the same time!?

And so, after restoring those who had become monsters back to
humans, we invited the vassals into the throne room, and like
suggested by Arca, I acted as an agent of god using Fire God Form
and Vermillion Bird Form.
Regarding King Vale, we told them that he had lost his life due to
monsters' attack. We also warned them in a fairly strong tone that
monsters had taken over the body of those who knew of King Vale's
research, and even now were still searching and planning to take
over other people who knew it, so they promptly should abandon the
research and do good deeds.
Since the agent of god and saintesses had told them so directly, I
hoped they would never do such a stupid thing again.
Well, if they do, I'd just have them be served with a full course of
Turbo-sama's plague.
Anyways, the rest was the problem of the people in this country.
Hence, after telling the vassals to select a good king, we returned to
Berqua to report and take a rest.
"I'll explain the situation to Father and Mother. So you all go take a
rest first. Iris and the others will show you the way."
"Yeah, thanks, Zana."
When I thanked her, Zana smiled, "No problem," before heading
toward her parents.
Then, in her place Iris ran over to us with pitter-patter.
"I'm happy to see you again, Exa-san."
"Yeah. I'm happy to see you too, Iris." I patted Iris' head, causing her
to beam happily and her cheeks to redden.
It appeared that each of us were assigned to a single room.
The girls each had one of Zana's little sisters to guide them as well.
Well, as you'd expect it was hard to ask for a shared room instead in
this situation, so the girls obediently followed Zana's little sisters
when prompted.
"Well then, shall we go as well?"
"Yup."
When I nodded, Iris suddenly turned all fidgety for some reason. She
then looked up at me and said, "U-um, if it's okay with you, can we
hold hands…?"
"Yeah, of course we can."
Squeeze, I gently held her hand.
Her hand was very small and smooth.
She sure is adorable as ever, I thought to myself, but then,
"Do they really have to hold hands?"
"No, they don't."
"...Haah. Ya two don't need to be jealous of a brat…"
"No, you've got it wrong. She's a perfectly fine woman. If you let your
guard down, you may fall to the bottom of wife ranking, you know?
Well, that's not to say that it is any different presently, though."
"Shut it!? Then, at what place are ya!?"
"Isn't it obvious? I, the legal wife, am eternally at the first place."
"Ha, the self-proclaimed legal wife self-proclaimed to be the first
place, laughable."
"Um, you two are kind of noisy."
For some reason, the girls were making a ruckus at the back…
Rather, I never ranked you girls or the likes, though…
"Well, whatever. Let's go, Iris."
"Yes."
Anyways, with the nodding Iris, I headed for the guest room.
