Chapter 3: Deliberations and Soul Shards

As I sat at my desk, staring at the shimmering orb, my mind whirled with possibilities. What should I dream about this time? Should I delve into other subjects and become a master of literature, science, and history? Or perhaps I should explore something entirely different, like traveling through space or even becoming a legendary chef or becoming a famous Rockstar . The options seemed endless, and I was like a kid in a candy store, trying to decide which treat to indulge in first.

But as I contemplated my choices, a mischievous voice whispered in my ear, causing me to jump in surprise. "Hey, Ryan, let's become a superhero, saving people's lives while wearing nothing but a pair of...panties! One down there and other on my face kekeke"

I blinked in shock, scanning the room for the source of that audacious suggestion. Was I hearing things? Did my mind just conjure up a perverted little devil on my shoulder? I shook my head vigorously, trying to dismiss the absurd idea. "No way, little devil. We're not going down that path!"

Despite my best efforts, a small part of me couldn't help but find the idea amusing. The inner turmoil between my sensible side and my mischievous impulses provided endless comedic fodder for my inner thoughts. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a superhero, right? But maybe I should stick to more socially acceptable attire.

After much internal debate, I finally settled on a dream where I became a professor in all subjects—a polymath, if you will. Just imagine giving a lecture on chemistry and then literature then on quantum machnic wearing a pirate hat with a skull because why not . It seemed like the perfect balance, allowing me to explore different areas of knowledge while still maintaining a semblance of normalcy. Plus, being a professor in everything would certainly make me the life of every party!

With my decision made, I closed my eyes, ready to dive into the dream world once again. But to my surprise, nothing happened. I furrowed my brow, perplexed. Why couldn't I dream? Was it only a one time thing and i wasted on fricking mathematics no offense on mathematics [Mathematics: none taken ] but if you are given a chance to make any dream come true by just dreaming it then who would waste it on fricking Mathematics.

Just as I began to despair, a message appeared in my mind, as if the orb itself was communicating with me. The message was as simple as it can be it was out of power it needed soul shards to recharge its power, and without them, I couldn't access the dream world. Soul shards? What on earth (or where ever this orb is from )were those?

Determined to find a solution, I stood up from my desk, only to be instantly transported to another place. Panic gripped me as I found myself in a desolate, ruined city. The night sky hung ominously overhead, casting a dim light on the crumbling buildings and abandoned streets. The air was thick with an eerie silence, broken only by the distant sound of a howling wind.

Fear gripped me as I looked around, my heart racing. How did I end up here? Was this some sort of twisted consequence for my dreams and desires? The humor that had permeated my thoughts earlier seemed to vanish, replaced by a genuine sense of unease.

Taking a deep breath, I reminded myself that I needed to stay calm and focused. Whatever this world was, I had to find those elusive soul shards. It was the key to recharging the orb and unlocking the vast possibilities of the dream world once again.

With cautious steps, I ventured into the unknown, my mind filled with both trepidation and a stubborn determination. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of challenges awaited me in this strange place. Little did I know that the journey ahead would push me to my limits, testing not only my wit but also my bravery.

As I walked through the outskirts ruins of what seems like a city, each step echoing in the quiet darkness, I couldn't help but question the decisions that had led me here. Was it all worth it? Was the pursuit of knowledge and adventure worth the mental and physical peril I now faced?

The ruins stretched out before me, a haunting reminder of what once was. Broken windows, toppled structures, and overgrown vegetation painted a picture of decay and desolation. It was as if time had frozen in this forsaken place, preserving the remnants of a forgotten era.

With each cautious step, my eyes darted from one shadowy corner to another, searching for any signs of the elusive soul shards. I scoured the rubble, hoping to stumble upon a glimmer of light or a clue that would guide me closer to my goal. But alas, my efforts yielded no results.

It was disheartening, to say the least. I had expected an adventure, a quest filled with excitement and discovery. Instead, I found myself wandering aimlessly through this post-apocalyptic landscape, my hopes slowly fading.

As I continued to explore, doubts crept into my mind. Was I even in the right place? Had the orb sent me here for a reason, or was it simply a cruel twist of fate? The questions piled up, weighing heavily on my shoulders.

But in the midst of my despair, a small voice within me whispered, "Ryan, don't lose hope just yet. This journey may not be what you expected, but that doesn't mean it won't lead you to something extraordinary."

I chuckled, finding solace in the absurdity of it all. Even in the face of adversity, my inner humor managed to find a way to lighten the mood. Perhaps that was the secret—finding laughter in the darkest of times.

Embracing this newfound perspective, I trudged forward, my determination reignited. I reminded myself that setbacks were just part of the adventure, that even in the face of uncertainty, there was always a glimmer of hope.

Step by step, I entered into the ruins, my senses heightened, searching for any hint of the elusive soul shards. The night pressed on, casting elongated shadows that danced along the remnants of this once vibrant city.

But no matter how far I ventured or how thorough my search, the soul shards remained elusive. It was as if they were playing a game of hide-and-seek, teasing me from the shadows.

As fatigue began to set in, I realized that it was time to retreat, at least for now. There was only so much I could do in this unfamiliar world, and it seemed that patience would be my greatest ally. I had to trust that the path would reveal itself in due time.

With a sigh, I turned to leave the ruins, my footsteps echoing in the silence. The night air whispered a melancholic tune, as if bidding me farewell for now. But I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of excitement amidst my weariness.

As I walked away from the ruins, my heart filled with a renewed sense of purpose. I may not have found what I was looking for, but I knew that the next chapter of my adventure awaited, patiently waiting for me to uncover its secrets.

but as I was walking away from the ruins a question jotted me awake from my heroic lines and it was how do I go back home !¿
