Chapter 437 - Chapter 437: Battle Commander Sebas

"Hoho, it seems someone has finally achieved a part of his dream." Muttered Sebas softly with a faint chuckle as he shifted his gaze to the right, where a massive blade of bright blue plasma slashed through the Redline, leaving behind a river of magma.

Chuckling to myself, I shifted my focus to the war at hand and continued to offer my assistance; I may not have been fighting a singular, powerful enemy like Mael, but I was facing off against roughly two hundred million beast-turned soldiers. Now, I will say, previous to this, I would've boasted that I could easily deal with a few million weak soldiers by myself, but it seems I've somewhat underestimated how utterly insane two hundred million enemies truly mean.

It was hard to distinguish between individual enemies as it was more akin to a sea, like a never-ending tsunami attacking with relentless force. It was such a staggering sight when you finally stood before such a massive army, though what truly proved to be the most troublesome was that they were unkillable. Even when I directly attacked their mind, destroying their ego and turning them into nothing but a husk, they wouldn't fall; quite the opposite, actually.

Destroying their human ego only allowed the devil fruits to fill in that space with their own ego, allowing the full extent of their strength to manifest as clouds wrapped around their shoulders and neck, signifying their awakened status. Copoulted with their unkillable status, it turned them into a truly formidable opponent, which I found to be a tad bit annoying since without it, I would've dealt with nearly a quarter of them by now, but now, I'm forced to restrain myself lest I wish to increase the power of our enemies.

"Haa, this is beyond irritating." Muttered Sebas softly as he floated in the air while raising his hands into the sky, causing the ground to rumble in response.

With one swift motion, I tore a large piece of stone off the ground and lifted the thousands of beast-turned soldiers that were standing inot the air; thrusting my palm forward, I launched it far into the distance as it soared through the sky until it vanished behind the Redline.

Now, while killing them isn't a possibility, there are still various other ways to deal with our enemies, though they weren't very efficient, given how we were being overrun. Thankfully, most of us were still in good condition, so these weak beasts that didn't have a lick of haki couldn't harm us even if they wished to be, but our haki wasn't infinite; if this went on for too long, we would eventually lose from exhausting ourselves.

As of right now, our goal isn't to defeat the two-hundred million-strong army; no, it is to merely stall them out long enough for Captain to defeat Imu; after all, we can hardly do anything when our enemies keep reviving from near death.

Using this moment of respite, I looked throughout the battlefield, observing how our allies were doing, mainly focusing on our strongest since they were holding back the enemy's strongest. Without the fear of death or injury, our enemies were far more dangerous than before and required more help than usual to merely keep them at bay, let alone defeat them.

The remnants of the Marines were prime examples of this; after suffering defeat at Freyja's hands, they had risen once more and were now facing off against the Revolutionary Army Commanders and Sabo, yet they were barely holding them.

Thrusting both of my hands forward, I manipulated the psionic energy and knocked the three Admirals off their balance, giving the five a chance to regain their bearings as they retaliated back.

Shifting my focus elsewhere, I saw Blackbeard facing off against Sengoku while Bullet dealt with Garp, arguably the two most dangerous marines alive; however, although it was a one-on-one since Garp hadn't eaten a devil fruit, Bullet was having a much easier time than Blackbeard, whose own devil fruit, surprisingly, lost a majority ability as he could no longer eliminate his opponent's devil fruit with his own, which ended up being a pretty big blow to his strength as he was finding it difficult to fight Sengoku.

Taking a deep breath, I summoned a great deal of psionic energy and compressed it down to the size of my fist as I held it within my hand before tossing it at the giant Buddha that was Sengoku.

Unlike with the Admirals, Sengoku was able to sense the attack before it arrived, but it was too late as the compressed psionic energy suddenly exploded when it got close enough to him; however, despite being at near point-blank range, my attack didn't harm him and simply disoriented his senses. Although it won't last for long, it should give Blackbeard a few minutes to recuperate somewhat.

Though just as I was about to continue assisting other members on the battlefield, Dragon suddenly appeared floating beside me, followed by a crack of lightning and thunder soon after.

"Switch places with me, Sebas. You're proving to be far better than me at controlling the battlefield." Stated Dragon solemnly as he glanced at Sebas, who raised an eyebrow before faintly chuckling.

"Hoho, I appreciate the compliment, but don't sell yourself short; if it weren't for their regenerative properties, you would've dealt with half of them by yourself." Remarked Sebas with a slight smile as he fixed his tie before placing his hands behind his back while Dragon seemingly remained frozen in place.

"Though yes, I shall take over your spot as battlefield commander." Added Sebas with a faint smile as he eyed Dragon, who nodded, only for him to be stopped.

"But what shall you do now? I'm certain someone strong like you can be of help somewhere." Asked Sebas as he eyed Dragon, who gestured to his right, where Kuzan and Chala were facing off against Akainu and losing rather terribly.

"They've been in need of help for a while now." Said Dragon, his words causing Sebas to nod in agreement.

Without any wasted time, Dragon swiftly flew towards Akainu, his storm following right above him as the torrential downpour of rain faded away, and we were once again subjected to the beautiful moonlit night. However, with Dragon leaving, exponentially more beasts lunged towards, no longer obstructed by the razor-sharp water droplets that shredded their bodies to bits, slowing their advance to a crawl, though never killing, only delaying the inevitable.

Though before it got too bad, I floated high into the sky, overseeing the entire battlefield while projecting my mind throughout each and every ally, connecting the tens of thousands of minds as their thoughts flooded my my own, causing me to wince.

'Quiet. It is I, Sebas; I shall be assisting you all now in Dragon's place. I will be offering support in the form of instant communication. Here are several formations that will help us last longer. If you all wish to live until the sun rises, I suggest you all heed my advice.' Stated Sebas Sternly as he spoke to every ally his mind was connected to, including Bullet, Blackbeard, Freyja, and Kaido.

'Hmph, please, as if I'm listening to you, mister six inches. Hit double digits, and maybe I'll humor you.' Remarked Freyja with a scoff as he promptly ignored Sebas, though she stayed connected to his mind-link despite her words.

'Heh, I don't use such silly things to defeat my opponents; only raw and unquestionable strength is all I need.' Said Kaido with a feral grin as he swung his Kanabo at Saturn with such strength that he tore through all eight legs, ripping a chunk out of his spider-like body.

'Tsk, at this point, anything to help me defeat this bastard Sengoku!' Thought Blackbeard with an ugly expression as he constantly Sengoku exchanged, the collision of their attacks destroying their surroundings.

'I don't need help dealing with this old, washed-up man. I'll kill him and then help you, Blackbeard.' Said Bullet with a smirk as he punched Garp in the face, causing him to spit blood, though he merely grinned in response.

With a sigh, I ignored those four. Blackbeard needed help, but seeing how Bullet didn't seem keen on assisting him, there wasn't much I could do; keeping this mind-link between multiple thousands wasn't easy; it was difficult, so my hands were mostly tied. Shifting my focus to the other thousands who seemed eager to receive my help, I swiftly transferred every piece of information about these battle formations to our allies, and since all of our minds were connected, everyone knew where everyone was, even without looking.

Like a machine, everyone moved into their spots simultaneously, without any mistakes, and almost immediately, I heard their sighs of relief, noting how much easier things became now that they were using the battle formation I had given them.

However, they weren't quite out of danger yet, as time went on, this formation wouldn't last, since too many beasts would eventually overrun them, but during that valuable time the formation has brought us, I can think of another solution to stall for even more time. Hell, Captain might have even defeated Imu by then.

'Hmm, that is unlikely.' Thought Sebas softly as he glanced at Imu and Diddy's battle before shaking his head, shifting his focus back to the battle at hand.
