Adelia opened her mouth to protest but when she saw Azel's frown, she seemed to think better of it. "Okay."
Azel nodded. "Good." He then gestured to her servings with his chin. "Finish up your meal so that we can get going."
Adelia nodded and for the remaining minutes that followed, they ate in silence. Occasionally looking out the windows at passers-by.
When they were done, Azel placed the fee for the food on the table before they left, with Adelia holding tightly onto a large brown paper satchel filled with tea snacks.
Azel glanced at it and sighed. "That would hardly be enough for one family." He said.
Adelia pursed her lips. "I know that." She responded. "But it's the best I can do for now and I'd rather not go there empty handed."
'I would have bought more servings too, if you weren't the one paying for it…' She thought.
