"No, that's not what I meant!" Adelia protested. "It's just... I'm sure my Father thinks books like these are immoral!"
'I do too, which is why I was trying to return it!' she thought.
It was unfortunate that he had caught her, and now he seemed intent on trying to do something that he didn't know could lead to her demise.
