Fabian stood in stunned silence, his expression a mixture of utter confusion as he regarded Azel. "Your... series of rings?" he echoed.
"Of course," Azel affirmed without hesitation. "It's a series because the next one will be an engagement ring, and the one after that will be a wedding ring and other ones can come later, say a ring to celebrate child birth...?"
Fabian furrowed his brows. Now he was starting to wonder if something was wrong with his liege. Had the events earlier in the day somehow unhinged him?
Azel quirked a brow at his aide's expression. "I can sense your thoughts, Fabian," he said. "I haven't lost my mind... at least, not entirely."
"Says the man who's currently talking gibberish," Fabian retorted, adjusting his glasses. "May I ask a question, Milord?"
Azel simply shrugged. "Go ahead."
