Chapter 79 - Aureya

An hour and a half later, Azel and Fabian reached the northern outskirts of Veldon, a town that straddled the border between Duke Aldous's territory and Norvac, the domain of Marquis Haughtington.

They dismounted their horses and led them to a local stable, leaving them to be taken care of as they continued on foot. Hopefully, their steeds would not have contracted some rare disease upon their return, with how unruly the place was.

Fabian's eyes darted left and right as they walked, in search of an isolated spot. He wrinkled his nose in dissatisfaction each time they passed by unsuitable locations.

This was starting to become a hassle, not that it wasn't from the very beginning. He sighed.

Beside him, Azel's lips merely twitched humorlessly. His aide never seemed to disappoint him, especially when he was already anticipating a complaint.

Azel nearly sighed in return. "What's bothering you?" he asked, though he appeared completely uninterested.
